I have been thinking about this one, but might need some advice from the experts. I have started writing to a nice lady recently. It is very new, but has a good feel to it. She has a son who is 9 years old and his birthday is comming up soon. I understand that birthdays are important in russian culture but I am wrestling with weather or not I should send a gift to the boy? My thinking being that I would have to get on it soon to get it there by early June. I am fairly certain that by then our relationship will be a little stronger and do not want to be kicking myself later because I didn't do something. I thought perhaps something not too extravagant, maybe a book or something along with a box of candy for mom. Any input would be appriciated!!!
