Just curious about what experiences were regarding these two types of socials?
Anastasia seems to prefer the nightclub style social where others prefer the banquet room style.
I can see advantages to both but wondered what other people's experience was?
My initial impression is the disco style would be very difficult to actually communicate with someone but perhaps that's incorrect?

Is there another format of social I'm missing?

I think both can be fine...one objective of the agencies who do socials is to keep the women entertained, fed and happy so they hang around waiting for their chance to meet the men. At many socials the women greatly outnumber the men, yet if they can enjoy some champagne, nice food, music for dancing, they remain relaxed and patient. The so called "night-club" disco is usually a place like Hard Rock Cafe - Russian style, and it's usually exclusive to the social participants during the socials, so it's not really uncomfortable for anyone.

Yet, no doubt, a banquet room at the hotel works just as well, if not better. Some restaurants/clubs are more centrally located in the city, and therefore easier for the women to get to: another reason a club might be chosen over a hotel lounge.

My choice is meeting rooms. At least in a meeting room everyone knows why they are there and a nightclub might make you wonder if they are there to meet you or just a night on the town.
