I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Bride.ru agency. Is it reputable? I have searched the web and have seen mixed reports. Some good, some bad. There appears to be more bad, but most of them concern payment for pay-for-click banners. I posted a profile and have had responses that I have replied. I have not received any E-mails back however.

Hello Panel.

First of all Gregg, it's your money you are spending and to be honest there are websites out there who will scam you, today there are about 50% of websites that are fake and even the Heavy weight sites today have scammers on there site because and dont care about your welfare.

I am going to write very soon what Nataly and myself see in Minsk with a marriage agency and the way they scammed theses two men, they had no care for there money at all.

If the two men are members of this site you will remember Nataly and myself on the plane going back to Prague.

A good agency will look after your money and help you in meeting your soul mate, you are on the form so how about looking at the Russianmeeting place for a lady, its honest and it cares about its friends and new friends and will help you to find the perfect lady, its better to meet a friend of a friend who advertise on there website than a total stranger who you dont know.

Bride.ru are actually good compared to other companies.

It is always best to let the ladies reply to you, so as JamesB says, put up your free ad on bride.ru and you will get some replies. If you initiate first contact with the most beautiful ladies on mariage websites then most likely they will have literally hundreds of men writing to them and your just another number.

The best way is to post your ad on websites, or even better have your ad put in local Russian newspapers. If the ladies come to you first it usually means they are serious in finding a foreign husband.

However as others have pointed out it can be successful. Just because they are all about getting your money, doesn't mean all the ladies there are the same way.

I simply don't like these pay by the click, pay by the email type sites. Get onto something with an instant messenger if possible and use that a bit. Scammers won't spend too much time on messenger before they put it on you or disappear. They just don't have the time because they are working the numbers game.

A few sites have small forum section which is worth having a look at. Usually you can get a feel for the ethos of the site from there.

I tried them for about a month and I had the problem you reported about stopping the automatic withdraw from my debit card, I had to contact the company with handles the processing.

I think it was like 20. per month. The up side is you get unlimited email addresses for that one fee, the down side is the girls get a ton of mail. I never tried to place my own profile but AFTER A few positive reports here, I might

I had placed my ad on Bride.ru for free and had a number of ladies reply to me.
None of which I was interested in,but never had any of them try to scam me.
