This girl Marina has been totally trying to make me so vulnurable that I send her the money,I was out tonight,my friend answered the phone and guess who it was? Marina,if you have seen my other posts in here about her,you know she is crazy,I want send her money,Pinboy don't worry she dosne't have me wrapped around her finger, how easy and how much would it cost for a Russian in Biysk,Altay Siberia to call America, why would she do this? Just to make me give in and send her the money? She spooks me to be honest with you!
Here is some background, she sent me her visa, the weird thing about the visa is that on the control # some of the zeros have slashed in them and the other 2 zeros's don't,it has the lincoln memorial in it like the real ones, scammers use the one with the eagle I read, she wanted $406 for the airfare to Washington's Ronald Reagon Airport, what is she thinking, then she says don't worry she will find a way to get the money herself if I don't help her,she is a pro scammer A+ if you ask me or a very lonely, sick in the head girl trying to get out of freezing Siberia, she claims she works for the Russian government and is on vacation for 3 weeks, her visa, get this is for tourist and business 1 and 2,do members of the Russian government get special treatment? It is almost impossible for a Russian to get a tourist visa, yesterday I asked her specific questions like where was your interview for the visa, and make sure the agency is not scamming you, again don't worry,no matter what she says I want send her any money, she will have to call from VA Beach for me to believe anything she says! Please help!

what is being said to you I can show you scammers email with the exact things they have asked. what funny is the money that was asked is the same amount that was asked form you.

I just bought my GF a calling card so that she may call me from Ukraine if she likes. The cost is about 69 cents a minute. I just checked with the NobelCom and the cost to call from Russia to the US on their network is 33 cents per minute. If she spooks you then write and end it, and get away, change your email and phone number if you have to. Quit feeding the fire.

I agree why would she go to such great lengths though after I told her I wiill not send money, why wouldn't she go after some other sucker? It's like she is wasting her time and money,or is she just dumb and stupid all the way around!

To answer your question,

How hard is it for a Russian to call the US?

Simple, just pick up the phone and dial.

Posted by: mtbclay

Maybe stupid like a fox!!

Posted by: Virginiajoe

but wouldn't it be expensive for them?

I think for her it is an investment. She's likely expecting a bigger payoff later

Posted by: mtbclay

Jill was reading my mind. Just an investmet. The emails are free or a fixed cost because of the cost of the internet service. Just like ovehead in a business. The phone call is just another expense for the business. Sounds like the phone call was not long. But obviously had an effect.

Just enough to spook me,but I made it really clear I wouldn't send any money for any reason,I even told her to borrow money or save her money, that's what makes this so confusing, she won't go away,I give her a A+ for effort I tell ya!

Posted by: mtbclay

The persistance is surprising, But If you cease communication with her, she will have no choice but to go away. This is why I said in another thread to let go of this. You know you are dealing with someone trying to defraud you. So let it go, forget it, move on.

Either that or it may see a future sucker and like Jill said the payoff will be bigger then the money invested.

Posted by: Virginiajoe

I am not defending her actions, but I give her a A for effort, she is good for someone who keeps pursuing someone who swore he would not send money, maybe she is obsessed with my picture or a plain idiot, stupid psycho! This is very interesting though, would make a good novel

$406 to fly from siberia to the US???? even if that is only one way, it's pretty gosh darn cheap! and highly unlikely!

Posted by: Virginiajoe

she said she saved some money and went to pawn jewerly,I looked on orbitz and it's not expensive to go to moscow, she said she was taking the train from biysk to moscow, tickets were around 700,800 bucks now to get over there,it is a scam I know,it's funny as hell how long she is dragging it out,she is nuts,a friend of mine in Kiev i was chating with on yahoo said from siberia,it is expensive to call the us,this is so funny!

Posted by: Virginiajoe

A guy who helps report scams Jim said scammers rarely call to the US,his 2 cents is she is a stupid crazy scammer who is getting carried away with her scammer or is crazy in love just trying to get out of sibberia and come here and scam somebody,he thinks she is using new scam techniques, she seems out of it,you can tell by her e-mails,I cant sleep at night,I wake up early, she is scary,it's good comic relief, she should spend her money on some idiot who will send her money that's not me,I asked her very specific questions in today's e-mail I sent her, maybe she will call back, she probably wants to have phone sex,you should read some of e-mail thoughts, she is out there!

Posted by: lechef

I think you are a glutton for punishment and already have it your mind that you are going to give her money and by some way you are waiting to hear from someone here that the decision you made is ok..

Posted by: Virginiajoe

Man you are wrong, anyone would be crazy to do that,I don't care if she was next to me right now begging for it,money dosen't grow on trees, are some guys really that stupid? Obviously they are or else scammers would be out of work, thanks for your thoughts!

Posted by: chaika

VirginiaJoe,
why are you still communicating with "her" (you don't know m/f?)

Posted by: Virginiajoe

There is no reason not too,I made it clear I am not giving here money! She is crazy for communicating with me! She is wasting her time,it's all funny to me,she is interesting sometimes to talk to,and her picutures are amusing too! She is scamming herself if you ask me!
I have heard though sometimes these women are actually in the US or in contact with someone in the US and they meet you and rob you, etc, you never know.

Posted by: lester

Hello joe,
print off plenty of these and send them!

Posted by: Virginiajoe

Hey Lester, send me one to my e-mail joefisher1972@yahoo.com I tried to print it out with no success, that is hilarious!

Posted by: BradIL

Hey VirginiaJoe: I know this must be pretty wild, even funny, but there is something really wrong with this girl!

mtbclay and others in this thread have given you good advice, if, for one reason that really hasn't been mentioned here. This woman has your phone number, man. She sounds like she has the makings of a personality with obsessive tendencies. Her kind makes me real nervous.

I would trust your judgments about her without a reservation. I am only going to ask: There's no way this chick can come back to bite you, right? You aren't writing other women in her hometown, right? Women that you like and may want to visit, right?

I get a real bad vibe here.

Clay and others are steering you straight, but if you can have fun with this... without harm to you or someone you care about it... I won't rain on your parade.

Joe , if she rings you again and you get the urge to pick up the phone I suggest you do what I do when I get people doing " cold calls " - when you answer say to the person that someone is at the door and you need to answer it and ask the person to hang on ( they will usually agree ).
Then just walk away from the phone let the person hang on and on and on and on - remember they are paying for the call not you - this wll send a message to them that you are totally disinterested in the call . Then after 30 minutes put the phone down - do not answer it .
If she rings again do the same thing again so eventually she gets the message .
