This man took money from single mother and doesn't want to give it back and say it directly. The most interesting that administration of the site where he is permanent client doesn't react. All they do is telling him that he is bad boy. I imagine how high will scream western men if some woman will do the same.

Unfortunatelly, this is not only one case. But before russian women have no place to claim to report western men's scam. Until now. That is why we don't know the real size of western men's scam, how many western men steal money from russian women.

Clarita,

I think this is worst than a westerner being scammed... I might get hammered here, but I would think that the percent of money taken was a lot more than a western man will lose.. Neither is right and both parties should be convicted of a crime.... but it will not happen..

Also, us poor single language people can not read your site!!

Finally, how is the lady doing? Is she put off that she has decided to stop looking?

Well... look at it this way: Would we (living in the United States) be upset if we lost $200? What if we lost a month's worth of money? $200 hurts, a month's salary would be devastating.

For this woman, losing a month's worth of income is a huge amount. For those in Europe or US, it's not the end of the world. We could probably bounce-back reasonably easily if we lost $200.

I don't know what this guy has to gain by keeping the $200. Maybe he's "teaching the woman a lesson?" Whatever the case, he's justifiied it in his mind that it's not something he wanted when it arrived in the mail. But I disagree that he couldn't refuse it. Simply put it back in an envelope and send it back. But I think Maria just paid for a $200 lesson in "Misplaced Trust."

As we say to our fellow Americans DO NOT SEND MONEY to people you do not know and the same should apply to her also. This is wrong but it is her fault for sending money to a stranger. Ignorance is not an excuse but it can be a learning experience.

U am pretty sure that there are quite a few going on "sex holidays" to Russia, and other former eastern block countries.

The impression I got from the media is, that many of those are doing the meet-a-1000-women tours. They might initially be seaching for the woman of their life, but some gets a different view on the FSU women after having visited the "meat-market" a few times.

Others might have got a taste for the free/cheap sex after having been there for other reasons.

I am pretty sure there are lots of men with little or no intention of marriage who pretends to be searching for a russian wife.

That guy is unreal, what a loser he is and he so believes he is right to keep the money on the basis that he didnt want it.

(thats kinda what I could understand from it all)

Only a mad woman will stay with him if thats his attitude.
Hopefully thats what he gets for his penance.

A god revenge would be to write the manager of his workplace, explaining the situation. Thhen he would probably be pushed to pay, and become more aware not to step too hard on the toes of RW.
