Hi

I think I am the only Dane onboard here, so I guess a lot of you people may wonder how my town look likes.
I made a small collage, soory for the quality, but there is a limited.

EXPLANTION:
Top left: Church from 11th century, and has Kings and Queens for 250 years buried here.

Top center: Open teather. (only in summer). Next, a playground.

Top Right: Our cityhall.

Below, some various nature from the area

Left: We are a farm land. There is a reason to why many Danes emigrated the the midwest, like Iowa and Nebraska

Below agri pic: Some pics from the city. Downtown Danish city had this types of house (typical 4-5 levels)

Center: Our sportcenter with a view of the central city

Bottom right: Our multiarena for convention, theather and exhibition

Bottom: Library (the small - from inside)

That's a GREAT photo, Brian...

It is good to see where our members live.

I know that Denmark is a very historic country.

Can you also post the photo in the Photo Galleries??

Thanks for sharing the photo...

I enjoyed the collage very much, Brian! But you didn't take a picture of your country's COOKIES!! I LOVE the cookies from Denmark!

Thanx to both of you.

Bob , your right that we make cookies, but not in my city. From my city is the most famous company a butchery, actually exporting to Russia for 150 million USD a year out of a national export to Russia for 1 billion USD. (To compare we export for 2 billion USD to USA)

I post it since most people has seen something about L.A / USA - not Denmark and especially not a provincial town with a municipality of 24000 citizen.

I have some comments to Denmark / USA, but I guess I will put them into general conversation forum.

In case you did not know, there is a popular Danish town in California called Solvang!

Posted by: Jutman

yes !!!
along with Ringsted in Iowa, Denmark in Iowa and 21 other Denmark towns. In Northern Chicago one of the suburbs are 'Danish' with their own accent. In Iowa in Elkhorn is also a typical Danish mill - I think with a museum.
