Hi David.

I want to tell you very serious thing.
David, I have done some research for coming to you. And I have good
results. I talked to my uncle's friend about it. He works as a lawyer
in immigration agency in Moscow. His company helps people to solve all
questions about travels, organized tours and immigration. They also
make all paperworks and passport required for travelers. I got his
professional advice about my wish to come to you.

He said that I would need visa and passport to come to you. His
company can make all these papers in 10 days. This company is
connected with American Embassy. That's why they work so
quickly.
I asked what I would need to do and he told me about all stages in
this process. At first I need to apply for visa in this company. They
will make an inquiry into embassy in Moscow. Usually it takes about
two days. After they will receive authorization for my visa I will
need to contract for their service. Then they will start their work. I
will get visa, all papers and passport in 10 days. Then I can get
ticket for a plane and fly to you.

Their service costs $350 USD. I know this is a lot, but it is fast and
reliable.
The lawyer said I can try to get visa by myself but it will take more
time, about 6-12 months. I will need to come to embassy and apply for
visa. The pay is about $150 USD. Then I will need to come there some
times to sign different papers and wait. You see it could take more
time, money and nerve finally.

What do you think of this occasion? I think it is great chance for us
to meet. There is the reason we must hurry with it. This company have
a licence to issue visas. But the government of the USA decided to
limit number of visas since new year. This company will not issue
visas any longer since January 25, 2005. The only way to get visa will be
the embassy and it is very hard, almost impossible for lonely young
woman. So I will not be able to get visa that way. Also the lawyer
said that they have limited number of visas they can issue for this
year. This is the rule of US Embassy. Now they have few visas they can
give. He said if I want to get visa I must do it as soon as possible.

You see we must hurry if we want to meet in person. I must say that I
have already applied for visa. Don't you mind?

as soon as possible. You know I haven't $350 USD. It makes me so sad.
What can I do? I hate I have no this money. And I feel very
uncomfortable to ask you for money.

How long have you known this person? It sounds like a typical scam to me! Don't send the money!! Offer to visit in her city and see if she agrees to meet you. If she is still presistant about you sending money, then, drop her! It is a SCAM!!

lets see for 4 months now. Everything was very interesting until I got this mail asking for money. Then I google the address of the Russian embassy and found this site. listed on another thread that is almost identical to my situation

Don’t worry I wont send money. Ill play it out and see what happens. And I have already offered to meet her in her own country and didn’t really get a answer on that. But I have asked again as of this morning

As for this scam, I would think it could be fun to take it further out like the 411 scams on the Internet. Try a scam-the-scammer.

Have the other end send you a picture with a note saying something special, and confirm if they have access to the person whose photos you have got.

i just checked out ebola monkey man and read the scam about the priest and nun and i can't stop laughing!!! i'm catholic also so it makes it even funnier!! thanks for the link! people, you have to check out the pictures of this doofus and see how this scammer had the tables turned on him and is now the laughing stock of the internet! i have to buy one of those t-shirts. don't know where i'd wear it, but it'd be great for parties - i guess that's where i'd wear it!
