Pronounciation help

I am about to pick up a new kitten - a Russian Blue to be specific. I've been thinking about names and was hoping to find a pronounciation for the word Smoke in Russian. The translation I got was "дым" so I was hoping someone here could help me with the pronounciation of that word.

Thank you very much in advance!

pyrofenix,

дымок... its not quite a regular name for a kitten but at least not that many peopel have a Russian Blue... If you want to call him дымок ( I love this name) you pronounce it as d'i:-mu:k.. or dee- mouk

My cats name is Jean Luc (star Treck) but we call him Stinker

When I was a little kid, I had a cat whose name was Smokey. He was all gray, so I thought since this little guy was all gray and of Russian decent - the Russian word for Smokey (or Smoke) would suffice.

Thanks for the help parasionok!

The closest I give for an English speaker for that middle vowel (sorry, I don't have Russian fonts on my computer) is a cross between "i" (as in "in") and "e" (as in "eat"). Try pronouncing those two vowels at the same time and you should be pretty close.
