The big bird leaves at 6am and I'm going to be on it! Too bad it's such a long trip to Ukraine from Alaska. Oh well, this is my 3rd trip to see Tanya, so I know what I'm in for. The only problem might be in Moscow. I'm going in and leaveing from SVO2 so I was told by the ticket agent that I did'nt need the transit visa that Khashyar had problems with. (I'm crossing my fingers)
I'll give a report on what I see and learn from the Ukraine elections on the 21st. Maybe even some snap shots!
Til then, Boys and Girls, be good!

Hoora! Hooray! Hooray! Have a wonderful (and SAFE) trip!

And I hoped you packed some warm clothes--I just heard that Kiev had its first snow yesterday! (Of course, being from Alaska this probably doesn't scare you as much as it does us Floridians ).

And picutres! We must have pictures!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip. Have a GREAT time!

LMAO Jill, You just are really drooling all over your keyboard for these Reeses PB cups I've got in my bags.. Come on now `fess up!

Warm clothing isn't a problem!. I've been in -100f before! It's the hot weather we're going to find later on in Egypt that worries me. And somehow I can't see me wrapping a sheet around me like the locals there. ( Toga, Toga,Toga )

I am drooling! I'm not proud!

If only I could think of a good way to arrange for a handoff...

So you ARE going to Egypt after all! That's excellent! Where are you staying? How long will you be there for?

Don't worry too much about the heat--I was there in August and, of course if was quite hot, but it was bearable. It's a rather dry heat, not too much humidity. But do drink LOTS of fluids to stay hydrated. Also be very careful about what you eat and drink--many tourists come down with a case of King Tut's revenge while there If you can avoid that, you'll have a great time. This was really one of the best vacations I have ever taken!

Posted by: AkMike

Sounds like King Tut is related to Montezuma. I'll keep that in mind. I had a run in with Montezuma before!
I can mail the Reeses to you after I get there if you want or drop them somewhere in Kiev. But my scavenger hunt idea was the best one!
Just don't blame me when you short circut your keyboard with all the drool!

AkMike,

I'm jealous - wish I could find some time to go! Enjoy it a little extra for me!

I made it here just fine. Good flights all the way.
It is great to be with Tatyana again.
I'll add more later.

Great!!!!!

Be careful!!!! From what I've seen on CNN, things are a little tense right now with the elections. I'd be fascinated to hear your take on things right now. (Although I'm sure you have more important things ).
