Seeking Participants: Simultaneous Video Field Recording Project

People are currently being recruited to take part in a world-wide video art project. In this project, amateur digital video photographers from different countries and timezones are to be recruited to simultaneously make one hour-long video field recording sometime during the first two weeks of December 2004 (exact time has not yet been determined).

The idea behind this project is to bring together events which occurred in vastly different parts of the world, yet share a sameness and bond in time. That is, despite these video recordings being separated by such great distances, they still share an inherent "something" in that they happened simultaneously.

This sounds like it could be an interesting project, to watch different events occuring at the same time all across the globe.

Yes, of course. The specifics of participation are on the project webpage. Regarding the exhibit, it will most likely involve the simultaneous presentation of all the videos using projectors.

I currently have no Russian participants. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
