You might not like it but a fact of life McDonalds is here to stay. The main one in Minsk is a very busy and wonderful place to sit, observe, meet and talk to people. Also a nice restroom for those who need the facility.

Also a great place for your children. Our 3 year old felt right at home. It is just a long block from all kinds of important tourist spots and right on the subway.

The McDonald's is a great place to people-watch, as it is in the center of town, and many locals and foreigners alike meet and eat there...

It is in the center of the busy social scene in Minsk....

Most of the McDonalds' in Kiev have started charging to use their restroom. Even if you are a paying customer

But I like their ice cream

Yerevan does not have a single Mcdonalds. It is probably the last place on Earth.....

No Joke about McDonalds!

I was hiking up in the mountains surrounding Northern Taiwan in an old Gold Mining Town. (It's now a tourist spot.) No McDonalds up in the mountain, but there's a 7-Eleven (mini market) there! In fact, there are 7-Elevens EVERYWHERE in Taipei! There was a McDonalds at the base of the mountain though!

McDonalds is also prevalent everywhere here too! Kids just love it. In fact, the kids are significantly larger than I remember 10 years ago. (Not only taller, but much fatter too.)

Sorry... I've kind-of sworn-off McDonalds as of late. There are healther alternatives. And if I absolutely want a burger (in the western United States) I go to In-and-Out burgers. Yum!

When I was in Minsk, I noticed that the McDonalds there was always full of people. The prices weren't that much cheaper than in the US, but people were gladly spending their hard-earned money for a "Big Mac Complete" (Big Mac Meal).
