Of course, you need to read Russian to use it. There is tons more information about Russia available in the Russian language than in English. Even an English language site like http://www.russiajournal.com links to some Russian language sites.

If you are persistent, you can convert keywords to Russian using a machine translator, search on Rambler, translate the excerpts back to English, choose a page, copy the URL, run it through the translator at http://babelfish.altavista.com and learn something from the resulting ENglish translation. That's what I was doing a year ago before I got deadly serious about learning Russian and started spending a couple of hours a day on the language.
