We had a great day today, weather was beautiful so we headed down to a train museum in Miami. What a great day! The engineer of one of the operational trains invited little Niko to sound the airhorn and kick the locomotive into reverse at the turnaround point and he and Liliya were incredibly thrilled

I also got the best birthday present I could possibly recieve. As we were going through one of the static displays, I was trailing behind a bit and another small kid asked Niko, "Who's that guy?". Without any hesitation at all, Liliya said to the child "Thats his Dad!" It's the first time I've heard these words, and it was fantastic. Through all the paperwork and whatnot involved in getting Niko registered for school, doctor's appointments, and BCIS dealings we had to indicate that I was his stepfather, but "DAD" sure sounds a helluva lot better

I'll post a few pics from the trip in the next few days......
