Khashyar---
Happy birthday, but I won't add any smiles.
Now I'm thinking about your story from the Mogilev travel log as you describe how you are drinking until 3 a-m but not feeling inebriated.
THEN I look at the photos and see you and Lena' Dad Yuri, your arm draped across his shoulders, holding J-D slightly at an angle, with a shot of southern mash in your right hand.
You and Yuri are smiling WAY TOO MUCH!!! Just a little too happy for being up at 3 a-m.
So strike a low blue flame on some of Yuri's 180-proof homemade vodka, swallow a shot, let that radiant smile come through as you recall carefree evenings of sipping in Mogilev, have Lena shoot a picture, post it, and we'll all love it!
A toast to you at 38---

Thank you for all of your kind words, everyone...
You really didn't have to open a thread to celebrate my birthday, but I appreciate all of the nice words.
Lena and I went to eat an all-you-can-eat sushi place in Los Angeles (called Todai), which was fun.
Lena and I shared some very good tasting plum wine, which made the vegetarian sushi taste even better
