How do you pick your destination?

I am just curious.. for those who have travel to russia and fsu. how did you pick your destination to visit? did you choose city first then started correspondence with women in that city. or vice versa, and you started a correspondence first then picked that destination to visit her.

I think i am finally going to start corresponding with these beautiful women. I really really want to visit the crimea region. should i find someone there? or find a corrependce anywhere and go there with her? the first option will limit my choices. the second choice will cost me more.

let me know.. i really value all of your exp and input that may make it easier for a newbie.

Truthfully Menehune, I'd correspond with women first. When you have a comfortable writing-relationship with a woman, that will determine what your destination will be. Why limit yourself to a woman from a particular area? The exception I might make is this: If you're going to visit any area for any reason (vacation, etc.) then you might want to begin writing people in that area.

You had written that you were drawn to visiting the Crimea region. If that's the case, then go on a vaction there! And while you're there, drop-in to an agency and arrange a few dates. See how things go from there. (Better if you can arrange a few dates with an agency before your trip though.)

I'll use myself as an example: I was open to any area of the FSU, but never did get around to writing anyone seriously. When I went on this last trip, it was with the intention of seeing Kiev, then going up to Belarus a week later to visit Khashyar and Lena's family. Since I was going to Kiev, I thought I'd line-up a few dates to keep my evenings full. If something happened, great. If nothing happened, that was OK too. As it turned out, it all worked out great (and I stayed in Kiev due to a visa issue and couldn't leave Ukraine anyway.)

One Caveat: After my last experience, I have to admit that meeting a women is critical. There's no way to know if you're going to "click" or not without meeting. Everything can sound great in letters, but there can literally be no spark when you finally meet. And (again) from my travel diary, you can see that the women that I thought I would have the most attraction to turned out to be the women that I had the [I]least[I] attraction to.

Yeh , I would second what rtking has said - maybe go on holiday and see the country first - it takes some time to feel relaxed or at least that was the case with me . I would visit an agency in the town you stay in and see if you click with anyone . From experience, the most beatiful women were not really looking for a long term relationship - the one I met was a gold digger and was after a very big fish . I would definitely avoid Moscow or ST Petes - the women there want men with big earning potential and unless you fit this category then it will be a wasted journey.

A list of bona fide agencies can be found at

I would say based on your location you would love Crimea. I have been there twice and I picked it as my first trip because I am a Florida boy. If you love the ocean, which I assume you do, stick to cities on the Black Sea, you can’t go wrong.

Since I love the ocean, I figured I would visit cities on the Black Sea, and find a lady that does too. I continue to do this and I am now on my 8th trip. So I recommend my favorite beach cities

Odessa- use Athena and Adam and Eva as agencies.
Sevastopol- use Athena for this city, it is their main office.
Yalta- is fun, but not too many agencies there. Visit this city with a lady when you find the girl for you.

Go in the summer, and the beaches will make the trip worth the effort

I dont know much about the Ukraine , but it seems most guys here are meeting their ladies there.
If I was looking all over again I would pick woman from Moscow or St. Petersburg.
Moscow is a fun city and woman are plentiful plus many speak English well.
The night clubs are excellent , the food is great, and in the summer the streets are filled with tons of woman
Also if I started all over I would want my girl to speak English or I would have to learn Russian better
Since my girl speaks fluent English , I admit that I have gotten lazy at learning Russian. When she is here however I want her to teach me.

thnx for all your advices again

I think i will go to sevastopol as a vacation and if something happens then it happens like RT stated. If not, then i won't feel disappointed leaving empty handed.

ur right stoichman, i love the ocean.. it's one reason i pick crimea. i would just die if i can't see, smell, and feel the ocean. I looked at athena as you suggested. they have a nice tour price with free p/u to and from simferopol. I will contact them. I already have a date picked out 5/17 - 6/30. minus the travel time, i will have 40 days in the ukraine. 40 hours travel time

want to hear something funky. calendar wise, from the time i leave til time i arrive. 3 days will of past. and when i leave on the 30th, i will still make it home that same day, but 12 hours after i left moscow, calendar wise.

Go to Turkey, Menehune. There are plenty of single Russian and Ukrainian women vacationing there. You won't leave empty-handed.
