Hello...

I just wanted to point out to everyone that they can choose to put a small (50 pixel by 50 pixel) picture of themselves in their profile that is displayed to the left of their messages and below their name when they post a message.

These little images are called "Avatars." I just placed an Avatar in my profile, and so it appears in all of my messages now.

If you would like to add an Avatar to your messages, click on "User cp" button above. and then "edit options," then "Change Avatar." (Follow the instructions from there).

I think it's interesting when we can see a small picture of the person who is posting messages. (You can even choose to use an artistic or symbolic picture for your Avatar.

Here is more step-by-step information about placing "Avatars" next to your name in posts:

Those little pictures are called "avatars," and this is how you add one to your profile so that it will show up in every message that you post:

1) create or resize a little picture of yourself that is 50 pixels by 50 pixels. You can do this in photoshop or any other photo editing program.

2) go to "usercp" (i.e., the user control panel), which you can access by clicking the blue "usercp" button below the red and blue website buttons near the top of the page

3) then click on "edit options"

4) click on "change avatar"

5) click on the "yes" circle to use a cutom avatar

6) click on "browse" to select an avatar from a location of your computer

7) choose the correct location on your computer for the avatar image

8) There might be one or two confirmation buttons that you need to click from here, but.. the rest should be self-explanatory...
