Does anyone know how I can translate some messages sent by SMS the words are russian but have come through using English alphabetical words for example......YA HOTELA PRIEHAT
and Tolko YA D YMALA CHTO.
I have seen on net translators that do online translations but I cannot seem to get it to work
Any suggestions?
PS the mobile is a russian bought one but has vodafone sim card.if that is any use?

I doubt you could get any online translators to work, although to be honest, I've never used any and the translations people have posted done by electronic translators have always been practically incomprehensible.

Those two phrases are

1) I wanted to come

and

2) I thought that

Neither uses standard transliteration.

Hmm...

I know of many software packages you can get at your local PC store. One of them is listed below. It does do translation of 15 different languages. I have used it many times and it really helps out. I know of others but this is the only one ive used because it also translates the emails and IM's... which can be very usefull.

It costs around 50.00$ At best buy which is ok i guess.

Also there are online translators which you hook up with someone from russia and help them with english and they help you with russian. But ive heard that it can get very confusing to say the least... depends on you can type at !
