Aeorflot?

Hi All,

If there is anyone here who has flown Aeroflot from the US to Moscow, I would be interested in you experience/opinion of that airline. I flew Delta on my last trip but see that Aeroflot has a non-stop flight, on a Western airplane, from Seattle to Moscow. Was it comfortable? Were there any baggage/border problems? Is Aeroflot smoking or non-smoking (their web site wasn't clear).

Thanks,

David

Seattle-Moscow, no probs other than DELAY, delay and delay. But if you are patient, no prob. I even like the food, everyone treated me fine.
No prob in customs except you feel like a cow being herded into a pen. Just dont take a taxi outside of airport, extremely expensive.

No problem , I flew sea/tac to moscow and then up to St.Petersburg last year , no delays to speak of . I would look into business class next time , coach was a little crowded for me . The cab drivers are pretty funny , take a cab to the other airport $50 , or the shuttle outside .60 cents your choice ( ok I have to admit I took the taxi but only once )
People , food , flight all very good . No one told me about when the plane lands and every one applauds and laughs , that was a bonus !! .

It is a non smoking flight but a long flight. Ten and a half hours flying a 777. Baggage was spacious on the Boeing airplane and the attendants understood a fair amount of English to get you though the flight. Be prepared to see the duty free vodka tapped on more than one passenger. You fly close to the north pole so a window seat would be enjoyable to see the mountains and the snow.

Last year we flew aerosvit from JFK to Kiev. It was a boeing 747 I think and there weren't more then 3 seats not occupied. No delays, good food and we would fly them again. We were of but a few americans on board. I would guess 9 out of 10 were from ukraine.
