Greetings,

I'm headed to Odessa late September on my own for about a week or so. I'll be staying in the Hotel Odessa. Originally I was going to go as part of a tour but I decided to go on my own (despite knowing the language) and relying off some women I've met online. It's funny because originally I'd been corresponding with four regularly and now I"m down to two. I' ve had two "Dear John" letters in the past two weeks from women telling me they've met their soul mate already. I'm just looking for some advice on how to have a good time and be safe without really knowing the language.

Hi ArtursIrbe,

First, look on the internet for some agencies located in Odessa. Contact them to see if they have any translators that you can hire to help you during the time you're there. I would recommend that you have a translator for your first fill day so they can take you around the city and get you familiar with where to buy food, toiletries, etc.

I was in Odessa in April, I used an interpreter and will give you here name and number if you send me private e.mail me. Its a nice city. Get learning the basics of Russian, NOW, its a big help.

I read a message that you know of a good Odessa Interpreter. I am actually looking for one for a trip that I am taking next week to Odessa. The only thing that I do not have yet is an interpreter.
I know this is short notice but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.

Odessa is very nice Country and the hotel is in the centre of Odessa, my advice is start talking to ladies now and the best agency in Odessa is www.ukrainebride.net[ this guy is very honest perhaps not the cheapest agency around, this guy is open 7 days a week and the ladies who are on his site are the origional girl next door or perhaps try www.russianwife.co.uk[/url] i would have a look at both websites.

There is an internet cafe just around the corner from his office so you can keep in touch with the russianmeetingplace.com and the owner is very nice and they do good food.

In Odessa their is not to much to do so you need a little company when you are there and i hope you meet your soul mate when you are out there.

You have the Irish pub which is nice in the summer and they do good food to, this is a nice place to take your lady at night, and just accross the road is another nice place to eat durring the day and the price is very good.

Odessa is very hot in the summer and i was out there last year from 31st August 2004 to September 2004, at Odessa airport watch your money and the airport is very old.

You will be fine and i wish you nice trip.

By the way, what did you mean by watch your money? Did you mean watch how much I spend or did you mean watch for pick pockets?
I am actually going with a friend of mine. For such a trip like this, I did not want to go by myself for the first time. I have two ladies that I will be meeting with. I will be using an interpreter, if I can find one, and I do not think that my friend will be a "third wheel". Actually I think having him there will allow me to be more like myself.
Anyway thanks for the thought.
