The haze layer...

I wonder what it would be like to look outside and not see any haze. I thought it was just near cities where there is alot of polution, but I drive across the Nevada desert alot for work and it's out there too.

When I'm flying somewhere, up there at 35000ft, The picture is shocking. I thought maybe it was just over the US, but no, it's everywhere. A perfectly clear day is still smothered by this global layer of haze.

What would a truly clear day look like?

Sometimes I think it would be nice to live in a period before the industrial revolution, before we had cars and aeroplanes and smoke stacks.

I read something about how millions of years ago a super volcano erupted spewing ash around the globe dimming the sun and reducing the animal, early human population to near extinction.

How long before our own global haze gets bad enough to have the same effect?

I'd just like to see a clear day. Lots of them would be nice, but I'd settle for just one.
