There is some beautiful woman out there in Russia ,Ukraine and Belarus.
It is kind of funny because some of the woman on your listed site I have corresponded with and at least one I have met.

We now have a person working with us in Belarus who is bringing us more people for our personals...

Although at the moment Lena is the only person who enters profiles into our personals database, we are trying to train this person in Belarus to help us do this, so that we can place more and more pofiles in our personals.

I'm sorry that you had a negative experience, but... I am sure that you are wiser about long distant Russian-Western relationships now. Lena and I wish you happiness in your search.

Regarding the Russian Meeting Place Personals...

We have received several positive emails regarding RMP Personals members who have met a quality person through the personals.

There are a few members who have also been married or are engaged through meeting through our personals.

I believe that it is more important HOW you approach the process of searching for and developing a Russian-Western relationship, than which agency you choose, although some agency owners are not honest, and other are hoenst and act in a scrupulous way.

If you can find an agency who you feel that you can trust, then sure, it makes sense to work with them.

This is a process that takes time, patience, wisdom, and perseverance.

There is of course very good advice in this forum, as well as in the website's "About Russian Women" section.

This process of finding and meeting your future wife SHOULD take a long time because you need to make the best and wisest choice as to who you will marry and spend the next 30 to 50 years of your life with.

If you can come to Belarus in September, Lena can personally introduce you to some people she knows...

I had a good experience on the personals site quite a while ago. I was corresponding for some time with a lady from Belarus who suddenly disappeared. Come to find out that Lena actually knows her. Lena let me know that she was currently going through some personal family crisis with a sick sister; which made perfect sense to explain what had happened. It's good to know that all the ladies there are "the real deal". But it's better to know that we have advocates like Khashyar and Lena.

Yes, the woman who Lena knew (Irina) experienced some difficult issues in her life like sister being diagnosed with inoperable cancer.

I also wanted to mention that I have been learning a new computer language (PHP), and as a result, I added some new features to the Personals:

1) A "Newest Women's Profiles" display box with thumbnail pictures

2) "Random Profile Picks" display box with thumbnail pictures

3) Another new feature: Now when you search, the search results are ordered by the last time a member logged in, so you get to view the newest and most recent profiles first. Before, the search results where ordered by when the profiles were created, with the profiles created first being shown first.

4) Also, users who have a Personals Membership: When you click to send a message to another member, their contact email address appears at the bottom of the send message box so that you have the option of sending an email to them directly (and attach a photo if you wish) rather than the message being blindly forwarded to their emaila address. In the future, I am going to try to also have the woman member's contact mailing address and phone number appear in the send message box as well.

We may also offer contests where people can write an essay to be published on our website (about their experiences traveling in Russia, why they are interested in Russian women, etc.) and then they will receive a free membership subscription for a certain amount of time (one to three months)...

Hello Khashyar,

Do you guys have any local offices in Ukraine? Specifically, Kiev or Odessa?

I have been using fiance.com to correspond with some ladies but I am finding that as my trip to Ukraine is in a couple of weeks, funny but many of the ladies I have been writting suddenly are unable to meet! Im beinging to think that a lot of these women on this particular site are not really serious.

I also am rapidly coming to the conclusion you're almost as good off to meet them there first find out who you have chemistry with and go from there as opposed to writing someone who may or may not ulitimately be serious about a relationship.

Anyway, any advice you can give me on flat rentals for Odessa and Kiev would be greatly appreciated. Also if you dont have a local office in either Kiev or Odessa can you recomend a few local agencies that are trust worthy?

(By the way, I grew up in Oxford, Ohio, and went to college in Cleveland)...

We don't have an office in the Ukraine, but we do have some women members in the personals from the Ukraine.

There is a thread in the travel section entitled "Odessa-Kherson," where one of our forum members speaks in great and interesting detail about his trips to Ukraine. He recommends some agencies based in Ukraine.

It might be helpful if you posted a thread in the travel section, asking if anyone knows of any flats/ apartments there.

Lena and I will be in Belarus from Sept. 3 until the end of Sept, and we would be happy to introduce you to several people if you have a chance to be in Mogilev, Belarus during this time. (There is a direct train from Kiev to Mogilev, but you would need a Belarusian visa)...

I had a bad luck experience on the personal section here myself. I filled out the survey and received 3 free stamps and contacted 3 women which I carefully picked out. I received one email in return but she was in a bit of a rush to meet. After I explained that I was not planning on travelling until next spring, things died down and I haven't received any replies to my emails since.
I have checked this site everyday for months now and keep my eyes open for the next profile to catch my eye and try again. I also keep tabs on the forum and see what is up with everyone else.
This site is, by far, the best and friendliest site out there. No where else can you find two owners take such an overwhelming interest in their site.
One strike on me, but not ou of the game yet.
Thanks Lena and Khashyar for your help. I'll get more stamps someday and hopefully be as happy as you two.

Thank you for your message.

We have received emails from several people who have successfully met someone through the Personals, and many of them are going to travel to meet the women they have been corresponding with.

I was actually just talking about this with Lena this morning, and Lena told me that there are many factors involved in whether a woman will respond to a letter.

The kind and content of a letter, for example, the kind of photos sent (or whether a photo is sent to the woman at all), some women go on vacation during the summer time and are not able to check their messages when they are gone, perhaps a woman has just begun to communicate with someone, or other reasons.

There are several factors involved.

I personally believe in the approach of contacting as many people as possible, with the idea that if you contact many many people, then your chances of finding the right match will increase.

Speaking about my experience, before I met Lena, I contacted 200 women. I contacted them through an a agency who you would instantly recognize. Even though this agency was extremely respected and known, I had all kinds of experiences with responses from these 200 women.

I met some women who were obviously scammers, many of the women did not write me back, I receieved messages from women who I soon after felt that there would be no future between us.

It was only after I corresponded with 3 or 4 of these 200 women for a few weeks, did I realize who was the best-suited woman for me

In my experience, it takes a lot of time and patience to meet the right person for you.

So, I think that a person needs to have experience with more than three women to be able to evaluate the quality of a Personals.

I certainly want that you meet the best-suited match for a happy relationship and future marriage, and I hope that you will find what will make you happy.

Lena and I personally know and have heard from several people who have happily found their match through the RMP Personals, so, I think that the best approach is to be patient, (in my opinion) contact as many people as possible with the idea that you need to contact many people to have the best chances of meeting the right person, and also understand that Russian women are just as individual as American women. And each person being unique, some will have the time and money (to pay for the internet) to write everyone who writes them, some are considerate about writing others back in a timely way, etc.

People are all different, and the process of looking for a right match for marriage takes a lot of time, communication, and careful thought and evaluation.

Hi Everyone,

Lena and I wanted to let you know that part of our trip to Belarus will be spent on setting up our office in Mogilev, training Lena's friends there who will be working for us, and expanding the Russian Meeting Place Personals.

Up until now, Lena has been the one who has received the Personals profiles of women, and who has placed them in the Russian Meeting Place Personals site.

It has been a lot of work for Lena, and we actually receive more profiles than we are able to place on our site.

Part of the reason that we are going to Belarus is so that Lena can fully establish a Russian Meeting Place office in her home town (Mogilev, Belarus).

We are bringing two additional computers on our trip (as well as a webcam) so that Lena's friends and family, who will be working for us, can work on the Personals and Russian Meeting Place website.

We had actually already sent Lena's parents enough money for them to purchase a computer with the intention that one of Lena's good friends would help place women's profiles into our personals, but we did not anticipate that from our written instructions from America, that they could not understand how to use the software We discovered that we are going to have to teach them how to use it in person.

So, part of Lena's time in Belarus will be used to train her mom (and her good friend) to learn how to use this software.

Lena's best friend in Mogilev already has been speaking with women in Belarus about the Russian Meeting Place, checking their passports (for their name and number), and then scanning their photos and sending the profiles for Lena to place in the RMP Personals.

Lena also has spoken with the biggest marriage agency owner in the Mogilev area, and this owner is going to work with us and place many many profiles into our system. (Lena used to work with her when she lived in Belarus, and knows and trusts her). I believe that she already has many hundreds (or thousands) of women who she personally works with.

So, Lena is going to spend a lot of time during her trip to set up our office in Mogilev, train people to use our software, and also get the necessary documents so that we can begin advertising in Russian newspapers and even television stations (which is much more affordable than you might think) so that we can expand our personals even more.

We are also thinking about advertising in newspapers in Russia and Ukraine, but we would like to make sure that we can feel comfortable about the character of these women before placing them on our website.

Lena and I will continue to keep you updated.

We hope that an expanded Russian Meeting Place will help more Russians and Westerners meet one another and develop happy and healthy relationships (and marriages).

I have narrowed my search down to someone in Belarus just for this reason. Everyone is known or trusted by you guys. Do you travel to Belarus every year? Sure would like to make plans to catch the next trip. If you need help with your web designing, I would be up to help a bit. I make sites look good for a living, not into the internal portion, though. Just in case you want something spruced up.

Actually, we have offered to introduce anyone, who will be in Belarus at the same time as we are, to anyone in our Personals, as well as to women who are not listed in our personals (Whom Lena knows).

We are also going to attend some parties/ social gatherings in Belarus, and our Western friends who are in Mogilev at the time are welcome to attend.

All of this, of course, is without any charge. We are happy to help our friends and others during this trip.

In the future, Lena and I might personally lead a "Social Tour" to Belarus, where we personally will help and guide Western Men and Russian Women to meet one another, including counseling both the Russian and Westerners as to who might be their best match. I wanted to also mention something about what you wrote regarding Lena personally knowing the women in our personals.

It is true that Lena (or her friends) know many of the women who are listed in the RMP Personals.

However, just as it is impossible to 100% know the character of everyone you work with in your job, or every acquaintence you know, it is not realistic to expect to fully know every acquaintence in Belarus or Russia.

I'm sure that this has happened to everyone: Lena and I both
thought that we knew the character of a friend or acquaintance in our life, but then some defining event showed us their deepest and most true character. In another example, I have some relatives who I would not trust to be in a relationship with if I were a woman

Lena recently had a friend from college in Belarus who she thought she knew, but this friend showed a side of herself that Lena did not expect when Lena moved to America.

So, I think that no dating agency can 100% guarantee the character of every one of their women members. It just is not realistic or possible, even if they interview every woman in their agency. I don't believe that the President of a company, for example, can quarantee the personal character of every employee who works in his company. If any Russian Dating Agency gives you this guarantee that they can 100% vouch for every woman listed in their agency, then they are either not being realistic, and most probably are not beng honest with you.

Yes, you can trust the business practices of an agency, and get a sense of whether they are ethical and responsive to the needs of the people who use their service. You can come to trust that an agency owner will have ethical practices, and will not forge correspondences with their women to you, for example.

The wisest way to approach any internet long distant contact is to move ahead cautiously, and realize that it takes time to know someone who you have not met in person and who lives thousands of miles away. It take time to get to know and evaluate their character, and then to understand whether you and she would be happy being married to one another.

So, yes, you can feel good that someone who works for us has personally met and spoken to most of the women in our Personals. You can feel certain that Lena and I will be upset if anyone listed in our personals acts inapppropriately and that we will investigate it and do something about it.

I believe that it is important to understand that it takes time to know a person's character and mind, and one of the most effective ways of doing this is through communicating with them and observing them over a long period of time.

I would also highly recommend that a man looking for a relationship with a Russian woman read the advice, essays and articles included in our "About Russian Women" section: http://www.russianmeetingplace.com/russian_women/ There is some very good practical advice there.

Once you feel a basic trust in someone you are corresponding with, then you need to meet them in person and spend time with them before really feeling that you know who this person is and that you can move to the next step of developing the relationship more seriously, ot becoming engaged.

I personally would take as much careful, thoughtful time as possible to decide who will be the person who you will marry for the rest of your live, and who consequently will have access to your bank accounts, deed to your house, etc.

Having mentioned this, I believe that there are many good people our there, but you need to take the time and care to find the right person, no matter which agency or Personals you use.

I wish you the very best.

I believe that the most important result is happiness, and so I support whatever decision makes you (and your future spouse) the most happy.

I will continue to keep my eyes and ears open to your site and in due time, someone will appear.
Its nice to know about your future plans to travel. I am in no means in a rush and will not make any careless mistakes, or try not to. :-) My plans are to find someone to correspond with over the winter and get to know them as much as possible and then plan a trip to meet them in the spring, early summer, or now, whenever your next trip is. Plans change though, and I am sure that there will be many changes ahead.
