Hello Everyone,

I have purchased Lena and my tickets to Belarus for this fall, and I wanted to post the dates for everyone in case anyone wanted to meet with us in Belarus.

I will be in Belarus for 3 weeks, and Lena for 4.

Here are our flight dates:

Lena and I will both be leaving Los Angeles on Wednesday September 1, and then after a 5 hour stopoever in Moscow, we arrive in Minsk, Belarus at 12:15 on Friday September 3.

I am not sure whether we will either hire a driver or take the 2 to 4 hour train to Mogilev.

I am leaving 3 weeks later, on Wednesday September 22, and Lena will leave one week later on Wednesday September 29.

(Lena wants to spend an extra week there to further set-up the Russian Meeting Place office there, as well as to spend some more time with her family.)

We MAY take a little trip to the Ukraine during this time...

We would be happy to meet anyone who will be in that area during the first 3 weeks of September.

I am going to also do some filming for our DVD/video about Russian-Western relationships, including interviews with Russian women and families, and also Western men who will be there at the time and who would like to speak about their experience with Russian-Western relationships...

We could also set-up some personal meetings for Russian women and Western men.

I wanted to share with you that when I checked on Travelocity, that it showed that there were no tickets available from Los Angeles to minsk for Sept 1.

But, I bought my tickets through a Russian travel agency in L.A. (Kosmos Travel), that receives prices that are less than are available through the airline that I am flying (Aeroflot)...

Our tickets were in the mid-$800 range without taxes per ticket. The price for each of our tickets was $924 which included all of the airport taxes...

I know that it sounds expensive, but... a Travelocity search reveals that there are no tickets available at all for this day flying from LAX to Minsk...

The price to Moscow is about $120 cheaper, the travel agent told me today (so about $800 including taxes).
