Often I get a lot of junk email.

This is probably because my email address is a bit public.

I receive a lot of spam, this time I received spam for child porn. I have received spam like this before but it was someones attempt to cause harm to a company (he was arrested eventually).

On the home page for this particular web site it has child porn shown, so this is real!

Where do you report this???????

Does anyone know????

It may be a foreign web site but I can't determine from the address. In some countries, child porn is legal unfortunately

you forward the email to your ISP. Usually there is an email address "abuse@yourISP.com" or something... and they take care of it.

If you really care where it came from, go to your email reader and click on FULL HEADER and you can see the path it took to get to you.

Well...... I am my own ISP

I didn't think to check the email, I was looking at the address of the web page....

Although, they may originate from 2 different ISP's.

There is good news and bad news searcher:

The good news is that you can go to FBI.gov and report it if it becomes a real problem for you. It is already a very real problem world wide.

The bad news is that there is not much they will do. Most child porn comes out of Ukraine these days. It used to be Belgium or the Netherlands, but the FSU has such strong crime family permeation from organizations like the Tambov family, that they pretty well do whatever they want. They will be almost impossible to track down because they use mirror sites and proxy IP's that stay open just for a couple hours at a time. So the FBI spends most of their time getting the guys here who download it.

That has been my biggest hurdle to overcome in dealing with Russian orphanages: they don't know me, trust me, and want to be sure that I'm not a child pornographer. Ask any orphanage director there about how real that phenomenon is.

That is very sad indeed

I knew about the Netherlands but I didn't know about the other places.

It is sad that those who take care of the children don't have the necessary money. I have read about the problems many orphanages have.

Some people will take advantage of others misfortune to better themselves. It is really wrong and especially sad when it involves children.

Their reports ask for detailed info so hopefully something will become of it.

I get this crap in my mailbox too and it is assigned a caseworker when you report it.

My suggestion is to report it every time you get something like this in your mail.

They are taking this abuse of children on the internet more seriously and I am very glad about that.

I think if everyone reported it when they got it there would be less of it.

Your e-mail might just be the one that stops another child from being abused.
