Basic guidelines for writing your first letter to a Russian woman

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post some of my thoughts as to the basic guidelines for writing a first letter to a Russian woman....

1) Be sincere and honest. You will attract the woman who is best suited for you if you honestly and sincere present yourself in your first letter.

2) I personally would translate my first letter, or at least my personal biographical info and interests, into the Russian language. This allows Russian speakers to clearly and accurately understand who you are and what you want to say, as well as shows them that you are respectful and mindful of their culture and language. I would include the translated letter/ information, as well as the original English version.

3) Perhaps this is obvious, but avoid talking about sex and other inappropropriate topics for a first letter. Write a letter as if you are going on a first date and want to convey informationa bout yourself during a first dinner date. Lena has experienced some men who felt that it was appropriate to send photos of themselves naked, so... this is why I wanted to mention this

4) Include two nice photos of yourself with your letter. I would personally dress as nicely as possible, and choose a photo that is clear and that shows your face clearly. Ask other's opinions about which two photos are the best. If you can, ask some of your women friends and family members as to which are the best two photos.

5) In the same way that you receive feedback about your photo from others, seek feedback about your English version letter also. Ask for others opinions as to how the letter comes across, and consider the feedback (although ultimately create the letter in the way that you feel most comfortable with). If two or three people are giving you the same feedback, then I think that it would be good to seriously considier their feedback.

6) (Although I did not do this in my first letter ), keep your first letter relatively short (maximum of 2 pages). Try to communicate yourself in the clearest way in those two apges.

7) If you can afford it, tailor at least part of your letter to each woman you are sending it to. Look through their profile and include in your letter to them about what about them is interesting to you or attracts you. I would not mention much about their physical features, since they might feel that you are interested in them for their looks and not for the kind of person they are.

8) Do NOT mention that you have a lot of money, or a big house or a fancy car. Avoid sending photos of fancy cars or big houses. You want to attract a person who is interested in YOU, and not someone who is attracted to your money. It is o.k. to mention that you are financially stable, but... you might attract women who are interested in you ONLY for your money if you write about your wealth (or what might seem like wealth according to their standards).

I hope that these tips and guidelines help...
