Theres a general consensus I think that Putins legacy has carried on and that he still pulls the strings.
Personally I am sure Putin expected nothing less-Both have been under media scrutiny and observers have even had experts commenting on their every move ...even down to what positions they take when walking and sitting together !!!

Meds meeting with Brown was a good illustration that he will be no walkover.

The issues of the London Murders of former KGB personnel the BP/TNK fiasco and the closures of British council offices in St.Petes and Ekat were raised again by Brown.
I can only guess at the sighs that emerged....whilst Moscow seems to think Britain should forget and move on-London clearly has not.
Added to the reports of a second assasination plot that was foiled by Scotland yard against Berowetski and the statements that it was State organised....and reports that London is awash with Russian spies-make for a very bumpy and frosty ride.
Anyone who is optimistic that the thaw will begin any time soon would be crazy to believe it.
