Well, a quick bit of turnaround.......United Airlines is dropping Moscow service from Washington/Dulles, before it even starts. Officially, the start "is postponed until March 29", from the original October 26th start date.

In reality, a lot can happen between now and March. Especially since American has already started Chicago-Moscow, coupled with the fact that Aeroflot has a bunch of planes on order. Effectively, you can kiss off any chance of United flying to Russia, given that scenerio.

This is unfortunate. I would much rather be on a United flight over an American flight anyday (based on personal experience--and a lot of it). I expect a lot of changes for the airlines over the next few months and maybe even a few years more. We'll have to wait and see what develops.
