Last week I discovered this place in West Hollywood where you can send funds via MoneyGram as well as packages via Meest.

The lady in-charge speaks excellent English. MoneyGram is a little bit cheaper compared to WU. Believe it or not, there are many places in the FSU which still do not have ATM machines.

Sending packages via Meest is cost effective because the recipient does not have to pay custom tolls. You can send a small package via air (minimum 10 pounds, takes 4-5 weeks) or big boxes via ship (takes 2 months).

I have learned recently a company called ikobo. For 8 dollars they check you and show up in Russia and give her they card ( a visa electron).

At this card, you can wire 200 dollars every months, for only 4 dollars in fee.

This give her some freedon. She don't have to go to the bank in opening hour. There are more ATM than WU places. And its only take 10 minutes from you press the okay to she have the money.
