Identity theft scam?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have recently started emailing three women (two from Ukraine, one from Russia) all of which I initiated. I have exchanged a couple of emails so far with each of them. I'm just wondering if there is any kind of scam whereby they collect your information and photos to use for fraudulant purposes? Of course at the begining they want to see your photos and know about you. Has anyone heard of this type of thing happening? The girls seem genuine so far. You here more about identity theft these days so its just a concern I had.

Never heard of. Women do have something to worry about, but men?

I wouldn't even give it another thought unless of course you gave her "valuable" personal information. In that case you'd have probably asked a whole other set of questions. The chance is 99% they were curious of what you looked like and wished to know more about you. Which is a good thing.

The word paranoid comes to mind! if you were a women, you may have a point, but as a guy, I have never heard of it. If you start thinking like that every time a women writes to you this adventure is not for you. because you will have a whole lot more to worry about than someone using your pictures

True enough Chris! As long as you are respectful and don't come off as a creep then you shouldn't worry about getting on a "Black List".

However if you go to visit several girls and they think you are a "Sex Tourist" you might end up with your profile on the web...

I was'nt really worried about that side of things. I was just wondering about people collecting your information so they can use your identity as there own. It does go on.

I'm not sure what your worried about? If you are not giving out SSN, bank account numbers, passwords for financial accounts. What information are you giving that they could collect that would cause harm to your idenity?

I send pictures all the time, if they want to photo shop and put my face on buff-rock-hard naked man, I am all for this exposer
