Although routes are shown on the maps, there is no scheduled ferry service between Ukraine and Turkey at this time---at least that's what locals tell me now.

Occasionally there is a boat called "Pineapple Express" that goes from Greece thru Dardanelles to the Black Sea, and ends up the Krasnodar region of Russia. Ports of call include Istanbul, Odessa, and Crimea....but the boat will hit different ports on both directions.

Visa for Turkey can be obtain upon arrival for Ukrainians and Americans....I don't know for sure, but i think the same thing applies for Canadians.

Turkish Airlines does have flights from Istanbul to Odessa and Simferopol. Also, local air carrier Tavrey has flights on the ODS-IST route.
