She just needs to wear the shoulder belt under her arm instead of across the chest. I'm gonna ask a copper the next time I see one (probably at Dunkin Donuts tomorrow am?) and see what he/she says about it.

Got her new test date in the mail today. Fri at 4 pm.

Posted by: EasyTarget

I am assuming she is short and you can't adjust the height of the seatbelt. You might want to check into getting one of those fluffy sheep skin seat belt covers. I have seen them at auto parts stores, specifically for what you are talking about.

My car is a newer car and I raise or lower where the shoulder harness attachment point is.

The usual law in most states is that you can't tamper with the seatbelt, otherwise it is ok.

Posted by: JohnnyLaRue

Depends on the state laws. When I lived in WI the cops could not pull you over for not wearing a seatbelt but they could pull you over for another violation and slap the seat belt fine onto the ticket.

When I lived in AZ I was pulled over once and the fine was not that bad.

Now currently residing in Cali and just figure I will get pulled over for seatbelt violations and have a budget for the year figured out for the fines.

Or you could just get an older car without shoulder belts and you are fine.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Thanks ET. It's not the belt itself as much as the pressure it puts on her chest that causes so much discomfort. The examiner was concerned about liability and we hope that the Dr's note will get here in time for Fri. Now that I'm on her HIPA list I can call and hound the Doc about it. Honestly I can't see a cop ticketing her for having the belt under her arm like that, but whatever it takes...

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Johnny,

I forgot to mention that in Maine you can get pulled over now for non seatbelt use. In any event our main concern right now is to get through the driving test and this examiner doesn't give many breaks.

Just a brief update for you,

Things are going smoothly and my wardrobe is pretty well set. Irina is very pleased with it. She should be, she picked everything, and I have to admit that I like the way I look and the way she looks at me.

I never thought I'd ever meet someone like her. I told her yesterday that she is what we call a total package. Beautiful, sexy, inteligent, good charactor, soft hearted and into me. There are more virtues on the list but I didn't to get too mushy.

Buckeye, you ever gonna make a road trip back thru Ohio in the future? If you do, let me know, I will take you and your new squeeze out to dinner in the capital.

YOU'RE ON BC!!

I don't know when, but I do need to go visit my sister and her hubby and kids. Haven't seen em in about two years now. My best bud lives there too and I haven't seen him in about 10 years. I think he still lives somewhere near the Red Door Tavern off Broad St. I haven't been back since (I think) 95 when I went to see Eddie George play his last home game for my B-day. That was his Heisman year, btw.

Is Damon's still around? Irina's a carnivor.

Oh yeah, still the best place for ribs.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Believe it or not, I've never been. Lived there for 9 years and never went to Damon's or Farrells or the now closed Kahikki. And NO I would never concider ordering "The Hog Trough".

You never went to Kahiki? Shame, great place, pricey tho, but great for a date.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Woulda been close to a week's pay at the time so no dates there for me. I did good to hit Chi Chi's once in awhile.

I worked at Casa Guardo (sp?) (Now Olive Garden) on Hamilton Rd for a couple years while I was going to Cols Tech Inst (now Cols State Col?) on Spring St. and I could just afford that now and then even with the discount.

Posted by: dagpop

B, a big hit would be Texas Roadhouse or if you have a Hu Hot (Mongolian grill). Rima really likes those places. Any steak place you will have her like pudy in your hands. Japanese places do the trick too.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Yeh thanks Dags,

I never saw a woman put away a steak like Irina can. She totally relishes a meal. I love to watch eat as much as I do shopping.

I like the Lonestar Steakhouse more than Texas Roadhouse, the bacon cheese fries taste better to me and the fillet's are bigger also. Roadhouse is good for those rolls and honey butter they have.

Posted by: sidney

My wife likes their little song and dance at the texas road house. Unfortunately they don't have peauts while you wait anymore. Seems someone fell on the hulls on the floor.
Sid

Posted by: AkMike

They still have the bucket of peanuts here at LoneStar,Sidney. You can't just toss them on the floor anymore.

( See we're civilized here too)

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Well texas Roadhouse is the only choice here so I guess I'll hafta take for one of their steaks soon. Her fav though is Ground Round and we've been there a couple of times.

Posted by: dagpop

B, their sirlion is pretty good and tender. They also have a good steak sauce.

Posted by: dagpop

Sidney, the peanuts makes the wait go a little easier.

Posted by: dagpop

Good groceries!

Well another weekend is passed and we survived another misunderstanding. I'm learning how to say "I'm sorry, please forgive me" in Russian all too well these days. I think Irina still loves me though. She bought a pair of shower scrubby gloves yesterday and instructed me to use them. It was not a request.

I have my invitation letter to Russia and will be sending the required documents too NYC this week. Gotta get cracking too, we want to go July 1st.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Well, my russification is coming along swimmingly. She tells me that I am now about 60% Russian in her eyes. COOL! I dress like a RM, and apparently RM (the ones she knew anyway) make funny faces with their girls. Plus all the affectionate touching and giving the occaisinal slap on the rump and she's lovin it.

If I understood her right, the slaps on the popuchka are what an older man does to indicate that she is HIS woman. Can someone shed a little more light on that? The topic, not the popuchka. And as for her popuchka

Well last time I slapped a RW on her papuchka I got one of those looks that can kill at 30 paces so it is not for everyone

But I do wonder, if she is trying so hard to Russify you, why did she not just go for a RM anyway

She almost did! Then I showed up.

Posted by: AkMike

LOL, I can get away with it occasionaly in public if I'm very descrete.. If it's seen I'm a "dead man walking". At home is a different matter.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

She doesn't mind if the slap is seen, just not any other "touching". She's very affectionate with me wherever we go and she thinks something is wrong if I'm not holding her hand, it's automatic these days, and those special little discreet touches just make the shopping sooo much more fun.

Why are you sending your papers to NYC and not the Russian Consulate in DC?

Posted by: dagpop

B, you are getting in good, if you are doing the butt touching.I give Rima some butt pats. In pivate butt grabs are nice too.

Does Irina like massages? You can go a long way doing that.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

What woman doesn't like a massage?

NYC has a consulate too.

I did not know that, you had better hurry tho, it takes 10 days to get one.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Yup! It'll be in express mail tomorrow. Man the time just sneaks up on ya.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

I guess I've been in good since about day three or four then.

If only she'ld let me wear that 70s Leisure suit I kept all these years. Mint green, Kramer would kill for it.

Posted by: dagpop

Do you have an orange one?

Posted by: dagpop

B, do your 70's retro?

Posted by: dagpop

Too Cool!!!

Posted by: dagpop

Don't forget the gold around the neck.

She insisted I get a chain. Does that mean I have a collar now or a necklace?

I forgot to mention that NYC services the North East so DC is probably the way to go for you.

Depends on how she is looking at you at any particular time while your wearing it. If you get that "Look" I would say its a collar.

I did use the DC embassy, plus the service I used was only 10 miles away, so they walked it there personally and was there when it was reviewed to make sure everything was OK and we didn't have to change anything on it. To me is was worth the extra $40 for this service to be sure I had it done correctly and all my "T's crossed and I's dotted".

No! It means your whipped.

Posted by: dagpop

B, Just wear your gold with a silk shirt with a wide collar. Be sure to have it button down to show your chest.

This is the look DADDY!!!

Posted by: dagpop

You will catch the babes too!!!

ROFLMAO!! How did you know Dags? Just one extra button though. Gotta leave em wanting more, right? And I have a couple of really nice short sleaved silk shirts that she lets me wear. Sometimes.

Whipped and lovin it!

Posted by: dagpop

Where's the pimp hat!

Posted by: Buckeye5704

She was sitting on it. I really liked too. Pink fur with blue tassles. What a shame!

Posted by: dagpop

I was hoping that you liked the leopard skin one.

Posted by: dagpop

I like this leopard skin better!!!

Posted by: Buckeye5704

That works for me Dags!

Well, the plane tickets are bought and the gift shopping is almost done. A ring for the SIL, pair of sneakers for me and shoes for Mama is all that's left.

My visa arrived yesterday with the expiration set for July 30th. I do wish I had remembered that when I bought the tickets (through an agent Irina uses) for departing Russia on the 31st. OOPS! It might cost a few extra bucks, but the agent is working on it and we'll have it all straightened out before we leave NYC. The visa is a work of art, btw and even Irina thought so and told her friends how ochin krasivaya it is. They didn't just stamp a page, they affixed an embossed sticker the same size as a visa page in my PP that apparently came from the Kremlin.

We are beginning the final push to get everything packed for the move to CT and the trip and somehow we will keep it all seperated. The storage unit is reserved for the month so our stuff will be secure while we are in Russia and we will move into our appartment when we return.

I still have never known a woman who could shop like she can, nor have I had so much enjoyment from accompanying anyone else as I do with my Tsaritsa. We draw closer together each day and I still get on my knees and thank the good Lord for bringing her into my sorry life. She's way more than I deserve, but I'm not going to tell her that.

I thought it was really cool myself when I received mine. No cheap stamp there.....LOL

YNOT tell her? I tell Jenya that all the time, she likes hearing it.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Actually I do tell her. She loves it too.

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Moving day (packing and loading day actually) is upon us and Irina and I will be busy stuffung all our things into my Ram and the largest U-Haul trailer they have.

Tomorrow (Friday) Irina will attempt to obtain her driver's license again, before we set off for CT. We will stay with a friend until July 2 when we board the plane to Russia. I'm putting everything into storage while we're gone and we may have a house lined up to move into on our return.

I'll be pulling the plug on my modem first thing tomorrow am and do not know how soon I'll be reconnected to my little window on the world again. I'll pop in as soon as I can though.

Posted by: Chrismc

Good luck with the move Tim, I hope all goes well for you two and your trip to Russia is a good one,.

Chris

Posted by: dagpop

Have a good trip over there B.

Posted by: disculmawsu

Best of luck, Tim. Keep us posted on your adventures as you can.
