Hey one of my students took me to some drag races on Saturday.
It was at an old military landing strip.
It was not very organised.
My student said it is normally much better,but because of the weather it was only a buch of yahoos there.

He said it is usually organised with tons of cars,he said he would take me again on another weekend.
It was still good to get a wiff of burning rubber....

Drag Races in Russia? Totally cool.

I asked my Lady in Omsk if there was any type of motorsports there, and of course, being a woman who is not really interested, she could only give me a very general answer. She said she knows of only one place and its usually just locals and a circle track (boring). Tell us, what kind of cars were there and what were the times? Was it 1/8 or 1/4 mile track?

Any ways there were some Ladas and the others I didn't have a clue what they were.I am not sure how long the track was,every race seemed to be different.
Some times they would line up 3 cars side by side.....kind of scary if you ask me...

My student offered his right hand drive car to me to try racing...I declined....they are kind of crazy on the track....

LOL...Ok,next time I go I will try to get photos of the racing.

I have to still look through the ones I took on Satuday,I don't know if I got many of the cars.If I have some good ones I will post them in the RPM photo gallary.
