Well next Tuesday I'm headed back on trip #2 to see my lady in Nizhny Novogorod & looking for words of wisdom, caution or any other words that can be offered about a second trip. Any thoughts about a side trip to St. Peterburg?

Good luck Solstice! I have no words of wisdom for you. You've been through it before so no advice needed. Just relax and enjoy.

Definetely take the trip to St. Petersburg!!! I hope to do this some day.

How long has it been since you saw her last?

Thanks GTR, it has been just about a year since I saw her last. Since that time we have talked often online & on the phone. She appears to be very optimistic about us going forward in our relationship. It surprised me that she had her whole apartment renovated & said it was something she wanted to do before I arrived. I'm sure it's obvious I'll be staying with her while I'm there but it kinda puts me on the spot if the feelings you hope to have don't go the way you'd hope. I'm sure she has done what she has mostly in the hopes that we move on to the next step & since she put out quite a large sum of money to get her flat remodeled if things don't go that way I might find myself between a rock & a hard place emotionally. It's h*ll being one of those sensitive American guys. LOL!

LOL! I don't know if it's the fact that she's a woman, a Russian or both, but she seems to have an uncanny way of steering things her way. Of course it could be that me being a man I'm somewhat oblivious to how events come about.

She steer's things her way too? I thought my Lady was the only one who did that...LOL. My Lady has this way of when I ask her a question, instead of answering it, she comes back with a question to me thats kind of twisted the words to my question. For example, one time, a long time ago, I asked her if she was talking to any other men, she replied "You want me to talk to other men?"

What you mention here has happened to me a lot, you are never ready for it and you end up having to explain yourself to them, in a nice way, they just have this uncanny knack of turning your suggestions and questions on their head and making you look silly

It is all part of the adventure, a nice part, don't try to analyse it, just accept they have you beat at times

LOL Yes and mine just gives in and tells me "I am so poor so poor" , but it doesn't happen often

and she then quickly changes the subject and tries to catch me out in other ways, its a good game

Solstice, congrats on getting to this point and meeting this woman for a second time, it sounds like she has strong feelings and hopes for the future, which I am sure are the same as yours. Only words of wisdom I could offer is to just enjoy your time together!!!!

I have been to Moscow and also hope to see St Peterburg, so my suggestion is to take your lady and see this city, it should be a fantastic trip and wonderful to experience St Peterburg together with your lady.
