That's 60 cents to $3, usually $1 to $1.40.

Thanks,

That won't break the bank if I take of that for her. It's more convenient to go to the agency for her and we email through them. But, I don't want keep a profile up, when I'm not looking, or spend all that cash to keep an account with unlimited mail going if we can go a different way. I have till the 3rd of April so we do need to discuss it. She's definately worth it but hey I could be spending that money on things for her and young P, which would be my first choice.

I seen the "set up an account here and send her the debit card" and think that would be a great way to go. If things go south I can shut the acct down with minimal losses.

Right now I'm getting the "all lines are busy" recording. Grrr!

May I ask how much you are paying the agency and what you have in return?

Posted by: Buckeye5704

I went with fiance.com and only bought a one month membership. It's in the area of $80.00 I get unlimited emails and full access to all the catalogues. There may be some other benefits I'm not aware of. If I took the next package down at about $50 I'd have to pay $8 each for every letter I send. I write her at least three short notes a day and one longer one every night. Even at one letter a day It comes to $240 It'ld be cheaper to just buy her a used computer really and pay for her internet connection.

And I know the "rule of thumb" about that sorta thing. I'm not saying I'm going to, just it'ld be cheaper to.

I could buy a multi month package for a little less per month, but I really don't want to maintain a membership on a dating site when I'm "seeing" one girl.

WOW, that's expensive! Can't you get her e-mail address? Maybe phone and ask?

Posted by: Buckeye5704

If I understood her right (and her english is very good) she doesn't have an email acct. Plus she said that the cafe was further away than the agency she uses. Again I'd way rather spend the money on her and the boy or the phone bill.

Well I talked to her today for a little while. Unfortunately she was on the go retreiving P from school and slogging through the rain to the market to grab something quick for supper (hope she wasn't wearing those boots) and the market was noisy and made it difficult for her to hear me well.

ANYWAY, she did say something about a cafe so it sounds like that will be the direction we'll go. WHEW! Again, I have no problem at this point in keeping $50 or so in an acct here for her to use toi email me (her one true, well...). We have scheduled a quiet time for me to call tomorrow so we can discuss more then. She was so cute. I said I wanted to talk to her about some things and she immediately asked if everything was ok.

In the meantime, I'm on pins and needles waiting for the flowers/BEAR/chocolates to arrive in time for their B-day on Thur. And yeh, I'm gonna call and sing (not a pretty thing at all either) on her day.

Thanks a bunch fellas,
Tim

She can get the help to set up a 'Mail.ru' free account (hotmail type) from the clerks at the internet cafe. It's quick and easy.

Dude, don't sing, you might make things worse....LOL. Find a recording of "Happy Birthday" and play that over the phone.

He might have found a lady that's tone deaf and appreciates the effort! (No matter how bad)

They look like domain names are those EMAIL accounts Tanya? I'm going to talk to my little angel about it later today. She'll be waiting for me to call when she finishes work for the day.

Nice to hear from you. Loved reading your story.

Ok, so how bout I find the birthday song by Ms Monroe? Or HEY I know! BARNEY! I'll play Barney for her. Actually, with this cold (or whatever the h*** it is) my voice is a nice baretone right now. C'mon guys, I can pull it off! If I don't hack up a lung in the middle of it.

Thanks Chris,

I'll find out what her internet saviness level is and send her the links. At least the agency allows us to exchange personal info.

The Bday gifts must have arrived last night cause she did NOT look like she wanted to have her picture taken at 7 pm on the street. She eventaully gave me a smile though while holding the long stem roses. They sent a really cute Teddy (BEAR) along with the chocolates and flowers. She looks great too. Doesn't need to dress up special for a photo at all. Hey an Angel doesn't need much embellishment.

Tim, fantastic news, and glad the gifts made it to her on time. Hey, I am roughly in the same boat as you, writing to women who do not have email accounts and doing everything thru their local agency. What is different for me right now is we (2 different woman) have just talked for the 1st on the phone, need an interpreter because their English is poor (both have not used it since school days 15+ years for both), both are always willing in future conversations to talk without an interpreter, so I would be very interested in seeing how things work out for you and your lady in getting a personal email account set up for her. Keep in touch "PM" me if this way of communicating works better

Bob

Thanks Bob. Pm sent.

It turns out that the cafe is just too inconvenient for her and I won't put her out like that. I'll just have to suck it up and find a few other ways to save $$.

At least she likes my singing. It earned me a phone kiss anyway.

Tim
