Hi guys,

I have been emailing back and forth with this seemly nice lady from kharkov. Her letters quickly heated up within three writings to she thinks she's falling for me. Course it's just what a guy likes to hear from his girl.

The problem is that her emails all look eeriely similar in their make up to the ones I was getting from the lovely Mariya Ushakowa of Isilkul (new Blacklist entrant). What I mean is that she doesn't address any questions that I ask. The closest she came before today was finally mentioning that she has a son and they "understand each other" after repeatedly asking her tell about herself and the son. Generally though she just gushes on about how happy my letters make her and what a wonderful life we will have together.

I had also been pressing for a phone number to call her and the only mention of it in yesterday's letter was that she wants to see me so we can touch each other and not use interpreter.

I finally put my foot down and insisted that my true love give her number and today I get this.

You can not imagine how happy I am to get your letter ,as matter of fact
my home phone is disconnected until the end of this month because of
something wrong on the line and I lost my mobile phone .I am going to
buy it soon but I asked my friend who works in the agency that helps me
to translate my letters to organise our talk tomorrow at 7.30p.m
Ukrainian time .I do not what time it will be in your country ,could you
count?her mobile phone is +380xxxxxxxxx.You can call and we will speak
to each other tomorrow but you write me if you can do it and I will be
happy to hear your voice and you are mine!!!I miss you so much and I
want you to come as early as possible to my place

First off, I don't know why she's so happy to get my letter because I kinda read her the riot act.

And then she says this.
My dear, i was so upset and disappointed when you had disappeared. I
thought that you had played with my feelings.

I don't know when I did this disapearing act. I've written to her every single day, sometimes twice.

I have begun to suspect her/him for a couple of days now and when I see "my phone is disconnected" the alarms started sounding. I have done the background check on her and nothing but her add in fiance.com shows up so either she's legit and really excited about me or she's a new (and unknown) scammer.

Thoughts?

If she is not addressing any of your concerns or questions and just keeps rambling on about how happy you make her and how happy she will be when you come to her, move on, sounds like scammer city to me.

It's a pity too. She's a real babe. Just my type. I think I'm gonna play this one out a little though and make an excuse ofr being available to call. Let's see how easily they can change gears and receive my call on a different day.

How do you know this 'Real Babe' is actually a picture of the lady

who is writing to you? It could just be hairy Boris up to his tricks again.

Call her bluff and call the number she gave you, ask for her and see what happens.

To be honest, if she is not replying to any questions, I would start to look elsewhere. But to be sure, give her a call and see if you can find out one way or the other what is real here.

Also ask for her home address, tell her you want to send her something, see what reaction you get.

Why waste your time? If it's indeed hairy Ivan then it won't matter one way or the other. It does sound like they're form letters without answers to direct letters.

I did and couldn't get any hits on it. I have also ran a couple of dating history background check and they didn't turn anything up either. My guess is she's a new name (most likely option) or really legit and just too excited and is throwing herslef at this great guy from Bangor (the least likley option).

I will see you in your town, but like you she never answered direct questions. I was 44 the time (not looking for Miss 20 yo Bathing suit) so I was not sure when she backed down about the meeting in USA if she was a "scammer" or just naive about the difficulties in doing this, to make a long story short, sent the flowers to the address she gave me, pictures came back of a "totally different person" I played along knowing she was as "scammer" to see what her next trick would be, finally said my time was not worth it, never did metion the flowers even when I asked a direction question, and threatened to end the relationship, it was to say the least at least a very good laugh for myself to play it out.

to summerize you will never know for sure if she is a "scammer" but I would do what "OzGuyLooking" says and forget and move on, your time is more vaulable, and to write those who are legate

I'm hearing you chillidog!

Since I pressed her/him so hard about a phone number I got the here's my friends cell thing and call me at this time. I mailed back saying I had to work all weekend and couldn't call. Today I got another email hoping I could call Sunday which I haven't answered (and won't). This is the first time in nearly two weeks he/she's actually directly addressed content in my letters to her.

I have been writing to someone else (who I called today

) and I am only going to correspond with her for now anyway. What a sweetie too and she has a little boy who I could hear in the background as we talked. They had potatoes and sausage for supper. Really made me wish I was there as I love taters and sausage.

Great festival in Bucyrus, went to it last summer. The pigs tasted great, but the 2 legged pigs kinda curbed the appitite, especially when the female versions wore spandex....

I am trying to get my local congressman to push a law thru that states that unless you have the body of a super model, the wearing of spandex in public will be considered a 1st degree felony. No celulite allowed
