Can anyone tell me how the Russian University Diploma measures against the likes of the degree standard in the UK?

The reason I ask is that my girlfriend is has a diploma in chemical engineering and thinks it unrecognised as a qualification in this country. Anybody know any different?

Thanks,
Clive

Hi

She has that advantage that chemistry is a universal science. Why not have her exam papers from ALL schools translated and notarized and then ssent to you and let the goverment body who handle this give you an answer.
But again, chemistry is one of the better science to transfer.

Examples: My lady is an advocat. Not much to transfer to Denmark.
But she also an radiologist. In Russia it takes 2 years. In my country 3Ѕ year, so clear something will be missing.

So you might experience that her master degree, if thats what she have, will be equilevent to a Bachelor.

Hi Brian,

thanks for that. Prior to speaking to Universities and colleges direct I thought I would ask the question here. As you say, chemistry is a universal subject so it is hoped that her qualification will count for something.

Some time in the future, when I get an official answer, I will update this thread.
