Off to a good start (I think?)

Hi,
Name's Tim and I've started looking overseas for my LOML.

It all started a few weeks ago when I was surfing some (on shore) dating sites and I spotted an ad that asked if I wanted to engage in some online chat and gave a yahoo address to reply. So I did and nothing happened for a couple weeks. Then I get an email from a different email addy with a gushing intro to start a relationship with her and she was already making arraingements to come to the US on a work & travel visa. And at the bottom I find the email Isent to the orriginal yahoo account.

This may sound familiar to you veterans.

Oh, yes. Pictures of this beautiful creature who needed a place to stay or a mentor of sorts while she got her feet on the ground, but with heavy hints of "I want to be with you my darling sweet man" mixed in. AaH, I see some are smiling and nodding already. Well after exchanging emails for all of two days she is ready to live with me and stay forever and stopped just short of professing her undying love and dedication to "the man of my dreams."

Now, I still hadn't really clued all the way in as to what was going on but the bikini pics she sent in her 2nd email were awesome! At around day three after realizing she (burly Boris?) hadn't even addressed one question I had asked, I said to myself, "Self, why not do a web search and check this Russian dating thing out?" which I did and I'm writing my fingers to the bone with several women that match my search criteria very well.

But, I digress. Some of you may have had dealings with the lovely Mariya Ushakowa of the Isilul Uhakowas. A beautiful young lady from a wonderful family who gave My sweet Mashen'ka all they had so she could realize her dreams of going to America for better work oportunities (and a manly man). But unfortunately she didn't know before she flew to Moscow that a round trip air ticket was required and could I PLEASE send the balance of $985 so we could be together for ever and ever. Honestly I was expecting it but I was pretty disappointed at the same time. Who ever the lady is in the pics I would very much like to meet.

So, a scammer brought me into the fold here and I started pouring over everything I could find , especially at Elena's, which is how I wandered in here and you folks. I think that's called maing the lemonade from the lemon that I was handed.

By the way, no money was transferred in the unfolding of this short but sweet love affair with my Masha. Saddly I found lots of info about her doing a search and I find my lover to be has been unfaithful and sent other men her photos and even the exact same emails she sent me. I was furious that someone would try to take her from me that way, but what's a guy to do, eh? I will be reporting her at Elena's in a few minutes so others might be spared the heartache of this floozy who can't be faithful to her true love.

Ok, long post, I know. So I'm kicking the soapbox back into the middle of the room and taking my seat. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

Thats pretty much how I got started, a gorgeous woman contacted me on Yahoo personals. Maybe its the same woman?

I submitted the required data to EM's blacklist today. Sorry I forgot to include that part.

Toss her name in Google and see if you get any hits. Maybe a section of the mail that sounds unique.

I did Mike. I found all kinds of stuff on her including the eact same emails she sent me. Word for word too. No wonder "she" didn't answer any of my questions. They just open the can and spit the next one out. Even had one of the pics I was sent too. I'm keeping the bikini pics though. She's pretty cute whoever she is. A poster at the scammer site pointed out her wedding band. They probably found all the pics someplace like photbucket or something.

Btw, I really enjoyed reading you two's story that your bride posted. Had me in tears man. I hope I get to help mine post one like it. Got a long process to work through first though. Just started the writing back and forth last week to one or two that I really like. We'll see how it goes.

While I'm at it. The forum at fiance.com had a thread warning about greedy Ukraine girls like that's all they're out for. It doesn't sound like that's the case with you two and I hope that's just someone making an unfairl generalization. Two or three of my favorite girls are from there.

Stay happy,
Tim

Just drop her and don't look back!
I'd suggest that somone at the site mentioned has a different agenda when it comes to Ukraine women. I've done a fair amout of travels during my life, been there done that. Some of the finest folks I've ever had the pleasure of meeting are in Ukraine.
Bar NONE!
But like anywhere else there is some bad ones. Same holds true for here, Miami or Saskatoon. You just need to be careful and watch your backside.
Thanks for the kind words about our story. It's been a great trip so far and I want it to last another 50 years. It would have been great to have met her 30 years ago though! She's a great lady.
We're headed back there in about a month to visit family and friends as well as lead a tour of members of my family around Ukraine.

Oh she's dropped like a bad habit Mike. I LMAO when I got the please help me darling email. I DID see it coming.

Hey, any chance I could get you to drop off a gift or two for me? kidding. Well, kinda kidding.

Tim

LMAO, With TSA being the way they are???
If they're within our route we could do an interview..

Deliver the gifts yourself.. It goes over much better in person! It's neat to see the sparkle in their eyes.

Too late. I sent my fav a box of chocolates and a card little while ago. Hope I didn't blow it by going too fast.

Tim

It's never a bad time to let them know that you're thinking of them.

edit;
BTW for some reason they seem to prefer dark chocolates!

Posted by: Buckeye5704

Hope that's what they're sending then. I used the send a gift option right from her profile. Didn't want to send big red roses, thought that'ld be over the top. But it's something to get her attention and that's my goal.

The roses will come when I show up there. My local florist does a hell of a nice presentation wrapping with his long stems. I'll have him pack them to go and carry them with me. He got the idea in Scotland when they did that at the last place they stayed on holiday. He said he was pissed they didn't vase em till the Mrs. picked em up and brough em home with her.

Tim

Yeh, I go for the WOW when I go.

She's in Zaporozhye, Ukraine, btw and thanks Mike, I'd like that a lot if you could do it.

Hi Tim, I started that way too. I got an e-mail from a woman that wanted to get to know me. It ended up being a scam. The experience only raised the interest in finding love overseas. I could not believe how beatiful the women were. I can accross elenas models and decide to give it a shot.
I put on a profile and paid for a membership. After the first day, 3 women reponded. One was a beautiful blonde woman, which I wrote. She eventually became my wife. Your experience might lead to marriage too.

That's the plan dag. I had (not to brag) about 50 first letters from beauties all ove FSU the first week. I'm writing to about 12 or so now and really have one fav I'm hoping to turn into something special.
