Well this is the sad part of moving....I left my best friend behind, she was a great companion and my best friend.
She was my Samoyd Huskey (Russian Dog).
She died before Christmas,I kind of knew I would not see her again but I had hoped.
She was to old to travel,14 years old,and for a Samoyd it is old.
I hope she will be happy where ever she is....

Sorry to hear the sad news Randy. Nice looking dog, never heard of this breed before.

That's too bad Randy. I'm glad you got alot of years of happiness from it. 14 is pretty old for a Sammi.. You cared for it well.

From one dog lover to another

I am very sorry! I know the feeling of losing a great friend.
Have always had Dobermans and the my "Sasha" who baby sat and helped raise my twin girls, I had to put to sleep a long time ago (8 years) but when I think of her I still get chocked up. Two of her favorite playmates were Samoyeds that a friend of mine had. Samoyeds great dogs!!!

Again I am sorry for your loss

i am so very sorry for your loss of family. it wasnt just a "dog",but a family member.
you will see her again-read the bible.
i really can relate-when i joined the army in 2000,i had a red nose pit bull of freakish size-115 lbs. named "maverick".

i had schutzund trained him, protection trained him and had him since he could fit in my hand.he was a real "superdog".more intelligent and athletic than any dog the local k-9 trainers had ever seen.
i could tell you a thousand stories, here are a few.
when i dropped my fishing rod in the gulf,3 miles offshore,he jumped out of the boat, swam down 10 feet, and "fetched" it back for me.
when my daughter was born in 2003,he guarded her crib like a soldier on duty. only my then wife and i could get near my daughter.
in the uk,they are called,"nanny dogs" for a reason, funny they are banning them now.
he swam with my kids in our pool, and even rescued our english bulldog from drowning.-he was never taught that.
my maverick was a once in a lifetime best friend. through every hard time i have had since high school,my friend was there.
no one can say anything bad about this breed within arms reach of me because of this dog.

because of breed specific nazi legislation, and stupid macho dog breeders and owners,i could not take him with me when i transfered to fort riley kansas, and lived in manhattan kansas-they dont allow pit bulls there.
but i HAD to go,
so at 8yrs old,i had to leave him behind, with my mother.
2 years later,i got out,and came home to him.
for those 2 years,he cried for me every night, and i would talk to him on the phone,he knew it was me.
i even called him when things got very scary from my shelter.
i missed him more than my ex wife when i deployed. he was my baby.
last jan 3rd, he died at 14 years old.i buried him right outside my bedroom window at 3am,so he would always be close to Daddy.
i was so upset,i almost had a genuine heart attack. i dug that 5 foot deep hole in about 30 minutes, with my mother watching.
beleive me man,im really sorry for you,and i understand your pain.
