It is necessary enter " Kind of the coding" and to choose a necessary code.
As a rule it is Cyrillics Windows

Yes , you are right. It is a computer code language.

click on the email, go to "view" then click that (on the top of the screen) go down to "encoding" click that, then pick a type of coding and try it. you should get around 10 different codes to try.

Another problem is, if there comp. has a code that is out of date or more advance than yours. I have windows 98 and I can't read microsoft works from comp. with XE format.

My comp. is getting out of date.

Spamer and Mila are exactly right.
Go to the encoding line in the VIEW menu. Cyrillic should be an option. If it is not you can go onto google and search for the cyrillic codes for downloading. When you click on the cyrillic coding, the message will translate to the original language, if it is a Russian language.
No problem.
Yahoo mail changes my cyrillic letters to and from my girlfriend to the same code. It is a very easy fix.

I just got a yahoo email address so that I could send email easily from any termimal. The problem I am having is when I send a letter in cyrillic yahoo scrambles it and it comes out as gibberish to my girlfriend. I have tried right clicking and selecting "encoding" and trying the various types of Cyrillic encoding offered. But none of them work. The text is fine when I put it into the body of the email, but as soon as I send the letter and it appears in my sent box the letter is changed to gibberish again.

I have the same problem....My GF email provider blocks both my really email accounts so I had to open a yahoo account to write to her. I ended up sending all my messages as attachments and then she does the same back.

If you get a message from her in Russian and can not read it….. for yahoo you must change the encoding to Unicode UTF-8. Then you should be able to read it.
