Belarus's Justice Ministry has filed suit with the Supreme Court for the liquidation of the opposition Belarusian Party of Communists (PKB), RFE/RL's Belarus Service reported on January 7. The ministry charges that the PKB, which on August 2, 2007, was suspended for six months by the Supreme Court, took a number of steps prohibited by law during the suspension period.
