Airport Internet Access at O'Hare

Just got back from Cleveland tonight, was stuck on the ground due to snow backup in Chicago, and had a long layover. Thought I'd pass this along concerning airport internet access.

Things have changed dramatically at O'hare. The "Laptop Lane" booths are gone. Granted, they were expensive, but at least you had some useful functions.

Yes, you can get internet access if you have a laptop. But for those who don't, a word of warning.......ORD has now installed new internet access machines. Problem is, they have these "family friendly" filters on them, which block off anything that resembles "material objectionable to children".

So, Chicago has blocked out any marriage sites, which can be a pain for some that want to do their letter-forwarding on your layover through the agency sites. Don't even bother doing this in Chicago O'Hare!! You will be charged, and get nothing....which is what happened to me.

Here's a lowdown on the internet situation at airports.

Chicago----all access to agency sites blocked.
Washington/Dulles---all blocked, except for the one right outside of customs, which is run by a different company than the others.
San Francisco, Cleveland, Seattle---all OK.
