I have been hearing terrible stories about how long it takes for a passport. My son needed one for a new job, so he paid to have it expressed along.

WHOA NELLIE!! It took one week to the day. It went through New Orleans--I guess they have recovered!!
Now I am wondering if he could have saved $40!!!! He didn't need it until January!

When I renewed my passport 2 years ago it took about 18 weeks for it to be returned. Damn my former life as a spy.

My passport was lost in the mail in April of 2006. I got a new one about 1 week before I had to leave!!! Then when I returned from Russia, I got the first/original passport in the mail!! It was lost for about 3 months!!!

I applied for mine a couple of months ago and it only took three weeks. Surprised me.

10 Days for mine, I did pay the extra $ to get it expedited though.

My passport was processed thru New Orleans during Katrina. It was eventually routed thru Miami. It took about 6 weeks.

Better to have it in your hand!When i was going to Siberia for the docu the tv company took my passport and had a guy stand in a line and i had my passport back same day and next day visa.
