There is a new movie going to be in production soon, called "The Lone Russian"....they will start filming, in Seattle around Feb. 10. More details to come soon.

Subject: Auditions for the short film “The Lone Russian”

is that it? Productions is holding auditions for “The Lone Russian” a silent drama about the gradual mental collapse of a Soviet missile silo soldier stationed in a desolate missile silo in Siberia. The story is a satire on the effects of propaganda and militarism on the society and individual. The film will be highly stylized using expressionistic camera work and editing and creative set design while utilizing naturalistic acting to reflect true emotional states of the characters. The film will be shot on 16mm black-and-white film and submitted to multiple film festivals.

Shooting days are Feb 9th-10th in Seattle, WA with a couple rehearsals to be scheduled ahead of time.

These are unpaid roles but we will provide food on the set, an opportunity to work with an experienced team and being shot on real film, a lot of fun, and a DVD for your reel.

Breakdown:

Soldier -- 25-30 yo, a bit lanky and thin. A Russian soldier who slowly losses grip on reality as he goes stir crazy in a Soviet missile silo.

Girlfriend -- 18-25 yo, average or more size. A Russian farm girl who deeply in love the soldier.

General -- 45-55yo, imposing, athletic, and somewhat heavy set. A conservative career military man devoted to the service. He’s the commanding officer of the Soviet missile forces.

Communications Officer -- 18-23 yo, average build. Monitors all of the missile silos across Russia and incoming signals under the General’s command.

The auditions are by appointment only and will be held Sunday, Dec 9th between 5-7pm at the Freehold Theatre.
