I am new to this forum, however I have flirted with the idea of meeting a RW some time ago. I have done a lot of research, maybe too much. I guess that is the Virgo in me..Mr. Analytical. Having read some posts here about the potential dangers, the thousands spent in travel, phone, gifts, contacting the RW, Visas, etc I have to ask a question that I feel is legit....Is it worth it? Are American women really that bad? Some of the posts suggest that RW aren't much better.

I would appreciate any insight into your decision to abandon American women and want to meet a RW.

The vast majority of the women there are real and looking for good men. There are a few bad ones that you always hear about. Just like the schhool shootings.. 1 or 2 make alot of news. But how many thousands are good kids? Poor analogy I'm sure but you'll get the idea.
The RW are alot more family oriented than todays AW IMO. Good old fashioned values. None of this I, Me,Mine like the AW I was married to and dated afterwords.
If you've been looking then I think you have doubts about todays 'Liberalized" AW.

If you find the right one it will be worth it! I think the feminist movement here might have something to do with it, girls are taught they can be just like men, they don't have to be feminine anymore....

Alot of the Russian women who come over here comment that American women don't really take pride in looking good or dressing nicely

I can say unequivocally that I would rather sit in SVO in Moscow for 6 hours waiting for a plane than sit for 1 hour in ATL airport. I am sorry to say but we (americans) are not very pretty to look at....
And my lasting memory of my trip out of ATL last weekend was of a woman dragging three kids along with her screaming at me "'SCUSE ME!!!!!" I will take the shuffle and bumping of Russians any day over that!!

Honestly, everyone's situation will be different. Looks are fleeting and it really is what someone is like on the inside that matters. I tried the local dating scene but...my age and my desire to be involved with raising another child pretty much eliminated every one I met. Do a search for someone in their forties (within ten of my age) with a child (under ten so I can actually have some input into how they are raised) and see if anyone pops up. Not very likely here. I was extremely lucky to find my fiance'. I mean what are the odds of finding a 43 year old with a 7 year old child? OH, and after that, we actually like each other too!!

It is not just that; I never went looking for an RW, I just happened to meet and date a Czech. She really opened my eyes to the differences between the Western girls and the Eastern ones, totally different outlook on life, love and marriage.

Word of advice, don't use the word "Love" until you really, REALLY mean it; they hear it so often from Western men it has lost any value. Show it through your actions and deeds instead.

Yes, it is an investment, like anything else. But if done properly, it is an investment for life that will provide great returns. Why do it at all? Each of us have our own reasons but you will find that most of us are very happy with the investment we made by finding a RW.

I don't think it is fair to create comparisons but instead to articulate the benefits and personal satisfaction.

For one thing, you can find a younger RW willing to marry an older man. Now that's not too bad, is it? There is also a notion of loyalty in a RW relationship that can be felt and experienced. Not too bad either...

RW have a 'look-at-me' mentality. This promotes a personal attitude that they must look good all the time. I don't think my RW has ever gone outside in some droopy sweatsuit and gone shopping. She always gets gussied up. Even when she goes to exercise mind you.

Most RWs are fairly smart and spend time thinking about many topics which become items of discussion in the relationship. They are never boring and are interested in what you do, even though they might not fully understand it.

RW will treat the relationship on an equality basis and will want to discuss decisions to be made for the sake of the family. But in the end, they will concede to the man's decision. It's not a submissive or subservient role but instead a supportive role where in the end "you da man" pervails.

These are only some traits that a RW brings to the relationship. There are many more as you can tell from these forums. So why do it at all? Man's curiousity has gotten us to where we are so I would pose the question back to you... So why not explore the options???

This reminds me of waiting for my plane to Moscow at the Aeroflot terminal in Washington DC. I fell in love every 5 minutes and the price of a ticket to Moscow was worth it but in my case an added bonus!!!

You are right GG, my fiancee has a hard time understanding someone that says, "... but I STILL love you". It has become a joke to us now.

One thing I've learned in the last 2 years is that the reason I like FSU women is because of their whole thought process, their intelligence, their outook on life, and how they make me feel as a man and a person. I'm not saying it is better then western women, I'm saying it's a different personality which I find more attractive and more compatible with myself. I feel better about myself, my life, and my future with a woman from the FSU. Now yes I'm generalizing but this is based on the 2 women I've got to know personally.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one who sits at airports thinking " wow nice!!" or "hubba hubba".

Sadly this cannot happen at all airports; i have had the misfortune of waiting at Manchester airport a few times, and instead of thinking the above, it usually goes more like " God she's ugly", " 2 bagger" or "how the fcuk can she wear shorts when each leg weighs 220lbs!!". Even the stew's are dogs at Manchester.

The thing I like most about it, is showing to women colleagues and students on my course, you see them go wide eyed when they first see it; then a guarded, "yes, she is fairly pretty" gets dragged out of them.
Usually followed by " What the fcuk does she see in you??"

sadly, one of the few airports in america where this is possible is dallas, texas. i've heard that atlanta isn't too bad either. but that's about it!

Family oriented? Old fashioned values? Come on.....where do you get your info? I bet from a Russian woman! Russians are great and I like them lots, but this is just ********!!! Except maybe the ones that look for foreign men, I'm not sure... But don't talk about good values, the women here all have discount cards for the abortion clinic, where, by the way, you can go without an appointment in your lunch break from work! Cheating on partners is normal, and is not seen as something you should end your relation on.
I think that a lot of info you guys get is from 1 sight, and that side is mainly the RW I think. You cannot judge about how people in a country are by the stories from someone who is looking for a foreigner to have a better life, and is prepared to leave her country for that! Come and live here for a year or 2, watch a lot of Russian tv, and read modern Russian books, then you learn where the values of the people are...

Emmett I will give you a straight answer. My wife is from Uzbekistan and she was worth all the money, time, and effort. I have had an American wife and now an Uzbek wife. I think I'm more compatible with my Uzbek wife, than I was with my American wife. Going thru all the process is like making an investment, but it can pay big dividends for the rest of your life.
