UN slams Belarus (Deutsche Welle)

A UN General Assembly human rights committee has approved a US-back draft resolution criticising Belarus for human rights abuses, media restrictions and election rigging. The non-binding resolution, which overcame an attempt by Russia to block it, will now go to the 192-member General Assembly.
