It is also pleasant to see terms as "**** teller" & other accusations of weirdness or whatever thrown at me, while the 77 friendly moderators ignore it or even participate.
Head-butts, sniping, being controversial...allowed for some, not for others.
What cracks me up is that among these people there are many who, besides buying a mirror, should re-read their "stories" and put in the right perspective their "exploits"...after doing so, they would never dare laughing at anyone, or calling anyone names or suggesting theraphy.
I even wrote 2 letters to the "friendly moderators", but since I am not a "inner circle" member, I got ignored.

But a bad question to ask, I agree:
Two "super moderators" in a recent past deleted about 1500 posts at whim.

Even when i only posted in the "scam" section, I was attacked often for posting an outside source or article. I wrote "friendly moderators", but it seemed that "I kind of deserved it". I got systematically sniped at by a few people, wrote moderators, but i saw none banned and was still sniped at at will.

When I am called idiot or suggested to seek theraphy etc, well...I kind of deserve it, great logic.

Now I'm quite familiar with forums & forum cliques & their methods...hell, someone elsewhere recently resurrected a SIX YEARS OLD dispute or feud with me! Once they target you, you're dead.

My only aim was to forewarn naive or gullible men about scams etc, then they'd do whatever they wanted with the warning, but deserved it i think.
At least 50% of my posts were wasted replying to attacks and assumptions made on my charachter or personality (in spite of all rules).
I never saw one moderator censoring that.

But since I make no money and honestly I am not a crusader, I think I'll leave things like this.
I need no virtual world and whatever is wrong can't be fixed pumping 5000 posts saying I am great, but others may think otherwise.
The inner circle can go on back patting, exchanging compliments, counting their success, happiness, friends, millions, emmy awards, divorces, debts or...
I learnt that the emperor is naked and that real life can't be banned via a virtual console by a virtual friend...you can always try though, next time you get in trouble.

Ham, I'm sure if you read one of threads where some complained about your posts I am sure you would also have seen the other posts about how highly a lot of members actually value a lot of what you say . I'm one of them. I do value a lot of your posts.

The problem is that your writing is deliberately inflammatory and confrontational.

As any effective communicator knows it is not what you say but HOW you say it. You come out as very aggressive whether you intend it or not. Now, if you tempered these posts with others that were not aggressive in nature but were supportive, reflective, offerred support or congratulations to some member every now and again then I don't doubt at all that the negative aspects of your posting would be tolerated far more highly.

You talk about cliques here. Well, I can say that there are many members here that disagree with some of my most heartfelt and serious views on life so completely and utterly we will never see eye to eye on those things. But guess what, when that member celebrates an anniversary or they defy the odds and actually have a marriage that lasts I am quite happy to congratulate them on that as well - even with the differences we share. I am certainly NOT in any cliques here. I'm quite happy with that too.

The problem with your posts is that they only focus on one aspect - the negative one. That attitude diminishes the value of your own posts because in the end people don't see that value of your work for all the anger and vitriol you quite often post instead.

In short Ham you come across, whether you intend to or not, as one angry man. It's hard for you to get people to listen even to the valuable things you say when others have that view about you. And your posts DO have value. I agree with you that the back slapping blind encouragement is very dangerous to the newbie and back slapping has been prevalent on RMP at times.

I am not going to make comment about the moderation apart from to say I have never agreed with all the moderation decisions here either. But, after you ask for them to be reviewed either you accept the umpire's decision or you walk away. That's your choice. It's the choice of every member in the end. Quite a few that were here over recent times here have exercised it.

That is the freedom of choice we all have.

I dont know you but i think you should take things with a pinch of salt.Last year i got pulled into an online argument with someone who made remarks about my future wife and it got very heated .I now know better and just take things as they come.All these words are just opinions from people who dont know you so they dont matter.

I also agree with this statement.

Right now on this forum i guess we all agree with each other because there is not many new threads to even look at , just a bunch of old dredged up ones which is ok but the topics are kind of old.

Looks like MANY members left this forum as you hear nothing from them so when someone starts a thread it doesn`t last long if only a few people post on it. So ya welcome back !!!

I personally think your situation was overreacted a tad maybe but what do i know?

I can honestly say I really know what you are referring to here, but I can also honestly say that after being on the backend of a few of your tirades it doesn't phase me what has happened to you. I am all for fairness but I am also for respect, if you don't show it you cannot really expect to receive it. Respect shouldn't be earned but it should be freely given. After copping a mouthful from you a couple of times, in the third person I might add, I just figured you wanted confrontation.

My thinking is slightly different to the others here, I was tired of the continuous negativity of 99.9% of your posts. We are supposed to be adults here but your posts treated us all, even the newbies (I was one once), like children. Treating adults like children isn't showing them respect. Life itself is hard enough sometimes but you kept going with the fact that a "10" lady will never really want to be with a "5" guy. OK we all know this but some people have shown you to be wrong yet you NEVER gave that side of the discussion. Hey Ham I would say most of us are "5" guys but some of us have awesome partners who we would consider to be "10s".

Even in your above post you exagerate numbers of posts and their purposes, you even take a swipe at peoples standard of living and the benefits of peoples chosen vocations. Everyone here is biased in some way and it isn't hard to figure people out after a while but you continuously told us of your biases in every single thread you took part in. You rammed it down our gullets so to speak. Also I wouldn't say Mark and Bob were "super Mods" but yes Mark at least deleted alot of posts and many were not his to delete. The RMP has moved on from that and I am sure Mark and Bob are enjoying life with their partners.

As for the moderatorial actions/sanctions imposed on you, well .... some might say they were harsh while others might say you deserved it. I won't say anything as I was not party to all the info and I doubt many people here were. I do agree that you couldn't defend yourself and that any deliberately negative thing said while you were not able to respond was a slack act, but people have commented to you while you were able to respond and you attack back (and as I have already mentioned you also do it in the 3rd person).

I am all for reading facts and would welcome all the facts you can find but PLEASE don't embellish it with Pedro etc. and wordings that treat your readers like infants. Help the newbies by all means but remember they, like you, are adults and don't need to be put down because they are "ordinary" Americans, Australians, English, Scots, etc. looking for, or stumbling upon in some cases, happiness with someone from another country.

Hi Ham, welcome back, as many others above me have said, you do provide honest and useful input to the site, but you do chose to do so in the most confrontational way possible.
I must admit that although I know that sometimes you are making a valid point, I cannot be bothered to search for it amongst the sarcasm and skip to the next posting; sorry, but it is true.
On a related subject, I am a 2.4, I know, I have been voted so on another UK site recently; so how do you rate my chances with the 9.5 I am meeting in 38 days ?? I know you have not been around and may not have read my postings about her, but until a few days ago she was pretending to be a 6.5.

well, I am glad that at least a couple people understood what was going on.
I was told I was too harsh, then I started using emoticons ( of which I am NOT a fan, anyways ) to dilute it and bam! I was a clown cluttering the screen with junk...

I can also do my own math about the fact no moderator commented on my mails being ignored, or on the 'double standard' followed at times and that -maybe just maybe- being 'Bob' or 'Mark' is different from being 'Ham'.

LOL, your jealous. I start a thread to get people of my back and it works and your jealous cause you think you deserve more air time and more positive mod/admin attention. I went out on a very long and thin limb with that thread, had very little negative feedback (actually apart from 1 person the rest was from the people who were my problem) received alot of positive support (even from people I would never had thought I'd get it from), and guess what I'm still here and there has been positive discussion about making this place better.

Something which you really hated cause you said that I had done the wrong thing by communicating with a friend of mine. I have twice already offered to leave if the majority of members wanted me gone, no one said anything. I have also said I would like you, and a few others, to come back and still stand by that even now after this petty display of sour grapes (something which I was accused of btw). Legal, You are correct but if it helps the RMP to settle and become great again as it was I will do what the majority want. Khashyar isn't here, Waiting is on holidays, Searcher doesn't come by all that often, and Lena keeps out of the testosterone battles. The only thing we are left with is the mods who don't really moderate anymore.A challenge has been put forward for the regular membership to answer and I will go if need be, without coming back and starting everything up again.

Sometimes people don't know when to quit. Perhaps the group hug you suggested should be to GTR? I know there are some bitter feelings between the 2 of you. How about a group apology?

Spak I don't want to leave but I will if that is what everyone wants. The group hug idea was to settle things down not just one thing but everything. I think that bringing this all up again as it was is an exercise to fuel a flame that is no longer there on my part. To put it bluntly I want the peace GTR himself suggested and I want the crap to stop being brought back in. No one mentioned names today yet I was accused of that. I was merely having a discussion with Ham when he brought up something that was weeks ago and all of a sudden I am in the middle of a boxing ring that to my mind has been created to cause further trouble.

I am saying here and now, I don't want any more trouble, its useless (especially when it is old stuff) and all it does is bring the RMP down further. To be truthful I don't need places like the RMP cause for me it is just a place to communicate with people who are doing something I had been doing but gave up on (remember I'm not searching anymore).

I really don't care anymore.

With respect, we are not playing the came ticket. I did not start this crap today I have not started a poll, I have said continuously I wanted GTR to stay and others to be asked to come back. I am not the person who keeps this crap going. So please do me a favour and do not label me in the same way as someone who is doing these things.

Ok people, lets let Hams thread get back to Ham. GTR has started a thread to see who is the most popular so if you need to say something do it there and leave Ham's thread alone ok.

Better still top fuelling the fire and maybe it will slow down to a gentle simmer instead of a roaring inferno.
