Hi guys,

I have hardly said a thing here in the last 12 months since my wife has been with me here in Australia, but we reached a milestone a few days ago and we both knew that it was worthy of celebration!

So, she is here 12 months as of October 21 and our first wedding anniversary is in January.

I must say our highs are much higher than expected, and our lows are also much higher. To give it to you, we have had a wonderful first year together with minimal problems, those basically only being family issues back home in Tomsk. We went back to Siberia in April and had our second marriage with all her family, with some of her family being given tourist visas on invitation to attend our initial celebration in January.

I am blessed to have an amazing wedding in Russia, something that will never be forgotten and even more blessed to have a wife who is my best friend and always will be. FYI, we are both a young 36 and love life together!

Be good all, hope to contribute a little over time...but, you know, life is too good to be on the internet always.....

Poka!

Thanks Chris, will get over to RUA a little more as well - after my first few posts on Don's insistence in April during the post-wedding time i was in London, things kind of, well, got homely - your know, focusing on marriage and life is too important! .
I think you also are looking at the same as me in the near future! Haven't read your T/R yet in completion but will do, and best for you buddy!!

Coming again to Uk in a few months....maybe a beer if time permits?

Thanks guys, it is not easy and the 'rules' you read on such sites about patience are pretty true. You know, largely it comes down to the type of character you are, and having a pretty flexible work life comes into it.

You can make your own destiny with this endeavor we have all decided upon, and frankly, it is not a game. It is real life, and the most fulfilling thing you can do once you and your partner are compatible. I do read train wreak stories on various sites at times about guys who propose after 1-2 meetings and with minimal time together, and while some of these short meetings do have fruition, I can only extend the thoughts that I have is that 'guys, spend as much time as humanly possibly with her before any fiance visa, k-1 - whatever' is considered. I know it is not possible for all to do this, and I am lucky to travel to Europe 2-3 times each year for business, which was great especially during our early stages together.

It certainly is not like dating at home, but consider your girl by giving her as much knowledge of you before she commits to you - remember, she is making the biggest commitment by leaving country and family and deserves to be treated with utmost respect by making these decisions. She is completely dependant on you for so long, just like a child.

More to come....

Yes I am glad for my job. I can work 2 days from home which should help them settle in better.

Got the PM Tonton.
