Question: if a Ukarinian mobile phone number has + sign before the 380, would it be dialed any differently?

Thanks for any help!

Doesn't the + indicate to use appropriate international code first like 011-380-xxx-xxx-xxx?

Most of the numbers I got from my Russian acquaintances were written the plus in front of area code. I just ignore plus (I suspect it you need to all the country and the international code) and add the number for the international line and the country code (011+ country code + area code -xxx xxxx).

Hi Pin,
You only need to use the + sign when you are in Europe calling someone.

When you are in the U S calling the +380 area code, you don't need to use the + sign

On most mobile phones if press and hold the 0 button it will change from "0" to "+". Which is a very handy tip when you are traveling abroad.

Since most people don't know the operator code to initiate international calls from each country then it is replaced with the "+" sign. In the US the operator code is "011", in other countries it can be something like "00", "010", etc...

I'd get anything with Nokia on the label! I was impressed enough with my phone I bought stock in that company. So buy a phone and help me out!

Nokia or Samsung are great GSM phones. Always go for mid-range or up.

I bought a Samsung D807. It is a great phone. Pricey but it does have all the bells and whistles. It is very small and easily fits in your pocket.

I am loving my Siemens SX-66. also bought it unlocked on eBay.

GSM, quad-band, HUGE touchscreen, Windows mobile, great reception.
Best phone I ever owned. And it's like I got all the bells and whistles of an iPhone 2 years before release with none of the hassles. Also doubles as a great MP3 player...

Hi Pin,
I got 2 of these. One unlocked & one locked. No problems at all with them ever.

Keep in mind that certain mobile phones will NOT accept incoming calls from land lines......and vice-versa.........not the majority, of course, but this does happen occasionally.
