Bartoli knocks out defending champ (TSN)

Wimbledon runner-up Marion Bartoli dismissed defending Luxembourg titlist Alona Bondarenko in Tuesday's opening-round action at the $600,000 Fortis Championships. The fifth-seeded Bartoli, of France, wiped out the unseeded Bondarenko 6-3, 6-2 on the indoor hardcourts at CK Sport Kockelscheuer. The Ukrainian Bondarenko beat Italian Francesca Schiavone in last year's finale here.
