Since our first meeting (8th of febr.) and was has happen. Well my stories has been posted, but basically of the last 52 weeks, we have been together 10 weeks during 4 periods, of which 2 weeks was in my country.
After that visit to my country she did say 'yes', and we hoped to get married in October or no later than December/ Xmas. Now 1 year after, we aren't - due to document problems. Especially that the Russian Foriegn Ministry wants a stamp at the documents from the Russian Embassy in Copenhagen, but they won't give the stamps

Now we apply for a visa for her, so we can get married this summer in my country. Sunday we got a mail from the Embasy saying there was a problem with the visa.
1) Payment. I send a fax a week earlier giving the necessary information. They did'nt know where it was.
2) She has written in Russian, because she did last year. Now they want it in Latin letters. Okay at homepage they do say so, but at not at the application !!
3) They want a paper, proving that she can return to Univeristy after visit. We apply for visa for may/june and she is a post-graduate in April.
These problems made my lady feel very bad !! (she feels that other people can leave Russia / get married but not her )

Today I called Embassy. About problems:
1) They did find fax !! No - problem
2) because they have her signature, and photos I can write the application and fax it the embasy.
3) The worker DID understand and no longer want a paper.

But her cell phone is out of money today - so she don't know the good news.

But hopefully we get that visa, especially the Embasy worker was impressed by my ladies educational record.
Body masseues -6 mths education.
Radiologist - 2 year + 5 years of working experience.
Jurist - 6 year +
Advocat - 1 year (right to step forward in a court room)

So when we get that visa, the final paperwork, so we can get married in my country starts.

So the last year has been great and hopefully soon its all ends good. I know I love my lady and want my future with her and in few years our child. We both want that.

Brian.

Thanks for the helpful information that you've written- On another post you recommended that it was a good idea to visit the RW at her home- again good advice.

You said on this thread that she visited for 2 weeks in your country- Do you know if that is possible in the USA- to do that? Is the fiance visa the only way to do that in the USA- or is there a better way? If anyone else has the answer- PLEASE reply. Thanks

if your gf is from a FSU country, the fiancee visa is the only way...have you been there yet? if not, you should go and it will give you great insight to the life of your GF, family, and friends

Damn Jutman, I hope you get this all figured out. Seems like it's taking a lot longer than it should. Good luck.
