Ethiopian Millenium

The Ethiopian new year, using the old calendar, is on 9/11. Unfortunately, the days of the attacks on the US happening on that day, put a bit of a damper on celebrating by Ethiopians living here, in recent years.

However, this year is really special, is it is the millenium. So they are all out this year, be it in Atlanta or Addis Ababa.

So tonight and tomorrow, I'll be eating my "Tibbs" and "Dorowat", while opening the new millenium.
